Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Our third time visiting this lovely little site, we love it here! Site is so peaceful yet only a few minutes drive away from local shops if you need anything. Hired a fire pit for the evenings we were there- very reasonably priced and lovely to sit by each evening star gazing and toasting marshmallows. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Facilities clean. Our daughter loved the goats, chickens and resident cat. Lots to do in local area. Little hidden gem of a site, cant wait to visit again.

Disliked: Nothing

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Pet friendly site, clean shower and toilet block, useful visitor area with lots of local info, little recycle area for kit or stuff people didn't want any more or might have forgotten example kettle, washing up liquid, all random and donated. Good location for walks, we got out to Hornsea beach only 30 mins away, Beverley town centre circular walk and a circular visiting the Walkington pubs. Camped with electric hookup, no issues checking in, hosts super friendly. Morrisons and B&M 10 mins walk away too!

Disliked: Showers could do with more hooks or a shelf to help out, we went and it was quiet so felt like we could have been spaced out more with a spare site between each group when pitching. Nothing that would stop us staying again!

Liked: The site had all the facilities you'd need. The facilities are clean and tidy. This is a lovely small site so wasn't too noisy. The subplots are a good size and there are bbqs and firepits available. I would definitely go again.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Everything essential you need is at butt farm. The facilities are clean and modern. The animals around the camping area are an added bonus. In the countryside but also walking distance to local shops. Good sized pitch with electric hook up. Got visited a few times by the farm cat and chickens. Definitely recommend if you looking for a traditional camping spot and aren't after super fast WiFi or a waterpark. Fire pits and BBQ available on site with fuel for both available from the friendly site office.

Disliked: As stated above the phone signal and WiFi are none existent on the site which isn't a bad thing. I have two older children who needed the break from the online world. Nice to get back to basics and reset.

Local attractions

Get hither to the Yorkshire coast, the Yorkshire countryside, the Yorkshire Wolds, cities like York and Lincoln, or to venture further afield via the P&O ferry port at Hull 10 miles away. But to Beverley first... it's a bit of a beaut, with cobbled streets and a magnif minster, piles of old buildings, markets and music fests, and the chance to see geegees at Beverley Racecourse. Market days are on Wednesdays and Saturdays: if you're off to buy some bits, have a tipple afterwards in one of Beverley's 40 or so pubs. (One, the Sun Inn, dates back to the 16th century... just so you know...) You can also get to Hull city centre within eight miles, Humber Bridge in nine, Driffield in 15 and the seaside town of Bridlington in 25. A bit further away but within a decent distance for day trips are York (30 miles), Lincoln (50 miles) and Leeds, 60 miles from Butt Farm.
