Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked This is one of the prettiest sites I've been too. All the pitches overlook the lake, and there are no marked out pitches, so you can have as much space as you want, and it gives it a really 'in nature' feel. There are mature groups of trees dotted about the site, which are lit up at night and gives it an enchanted magical air. Fire pits are allowed, and sitting watching the bats flit over the lake in the evenings is really special, especially when you do it in their hot tub!!

The owner and his family are all really warm and welcoming, and couldn't do more to make sure you enjoy your stay. Their friendly and relaxed manner sets the atmosphere at the site, so you will be guaranteed a happy and relaxing stay. They clearly work very hard as the site is always beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean.

Bungay is 4 miles away and while small, is worth an afternoon visit. Interesting quirky shops; antiques, deli, artisan butcher, and nice looking cafes and pubs.

Love this site, and looking forward to returning.

Power optional grass tent or RV campsite

Liked The friendly welcome and being able to fish right next to my motorhome.
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Facilities basic but clean.

Disliked No obvious sign on side of road so sailed by as postcode further up the road on the opposite side.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Lonely place to stay. Plenty of space even on busier days. Great vibe and lovely hosts. The lakes were lovely and the farm animals were a highlight for the missus. The plumbed in porter loo and shower were well looked after and clean. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Power optional grass tent or RV campsite

Liked The friendliest welcome of everywhere we’ve ever stayed! Luke has an idyllic little site and works so hard to make everything perfect for you. Fishing was good, hot tub under the stars is recommended and lovely hot shower too. Amazingly clean and upkept throughout the day. Loved feeding the piggies. We wish Luke and his family every success and happiness going forward and will definitely be back. Thank you so much x

Disliked There was absolutely nothing to be disliked, even on this (unexpectedly!) busy bank holiday weekend we were welcomed by this 5***** host.

Power optional grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Everything, Luke was lovely, very welcoming and accommodating. It is honestly one of the nicest places we have stayed and will 100% be returning, we could not have asked for a nicer host and place to stay over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Toilet and Shower were always very clean. We cannot wait to return!!

Disliked There is honestly nothing to dislike about The Cider Farm Fishery.

Local attractions

A tour of the Broads National Park is on the schedule for many guests here – perhaps hiring craft from Beccles (15 minutes’ drive) or taking a walk or bike ride along one of the park’s many trails. There are also various attractions to visit here, including Henstead Exotic Gardens (15 minutes) and the Strumpshaw Steam Museum (40 minutes). Over at the coast, Southwold (25 minutes) is a popular destination for its indie shops, brewery and pier, or you could go birdwatching as RSPB Minsmere (half an hour). Around Bungay, you may like to see planes from across the ages at Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (10 minutes), take a tour of Flint Vineyard (15 minutes), explore Bigod Castle (10 minutes) or see local beers being brewed at St Peter’s Brewery (10 minutes). Other nearby options for a fun day out include Camel Park Oasis (20 minutes) and Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (35 minutes) – it’s got plenty of fun rides for the grownups too, you know…
