  • Family holiday park a mile and a half from Great Yarmouth
  • Salon, sauna, Waterworld, sports area and kids' clubs
  • Teenagers' clubs with DJ lessons, pool parties and lots more
Where to start when listing the many options on offer at the family-friendly park with top facilities and free five-star entertainment that is Vauxhall Holiday Park? Brekkie first, possibly; a full English at the Reedcutters Restaurant to start the day off, then a trip to Pinkies Salon or to the sauna for some pampering while the other half sorts the kids out… there are Arty Kidz clubs every afternoon, an under-fives activity club and Louie’s Adventure Playground, plus a soft play area, Highway 66 mini bowling, adventure golf, King Louie’s Goldmine… Older kids are well catered for too with the Hideout Club (for 12- to 16-year-olds) offering DJ lessons, jewellery making, pool parties and more. Once it’s been at least an hour after a meal (like your mum told you), time for swimming: Vauxhall Holiday Park has a Tropical Waterworld and Splash Zone with indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, rapids, kids’ pool and sunbathing terraces to flop onto afterwards. Or take the crew to the indoor or outdoor sports areas with climbing walls, gym and games room. More food? Why not: alongside the Reedcutters Restaurant (which serves up lunch, dinner and snacks as well as breakfast), Vauxhall Holiday Park has takeaway outlets to bag pizza, burgers, kebabs, fried chicken and local shellfish (not all at once), or you could pick a panini or sarnie while you surf the net on the free wifi at Ted’s Coffee Shop. For entertainment, there’s cabaret, comedy, live music and shows every day of the week, with evening dancing, competitions, cabaret and shows in the Regency Room, and floor shows for the sophisticated in the over-18s V-Lounge with adjoining conservatory.

Liked: Entertainment was fantastic Staff friendly, lovely lady on reception Friday evening 13/9/24 Young girl doing activity Den worked her socks off covering for someone’s mistakes. Pitches are great

Disliked: Toilet blocks could be cleaned more often. Nearly didn’t get an activity due to someone’s mistake, was told the activity wasn’t on. Food is so expensive for what little you get in takeaways and just expensive in restaurant

Liked: Camp was nice, reception staff couldn't do enough. Site had everything, great pool, big entertainment venue, crazy golf. Big entertainment venture for kids. We've already booked for next year and looking forward to it.

Disliked: Our pitch was just a little too close to main road and were unfortunate enough to have road works right by side of camp.

Liked: Food was good that’s all

Disliked: Camping pitch was all mud when we got there hardly any grass, toilets had people pubes with shit on wall, showers were filthy and black. Play area needed fixing, zip wire was all wobbly an accident waiting to happen. A lot of waiting around for the pool with people getting really impatient, swimming pool cubicles smelt like urine, nappy bins over flowing literally stunk. Staff eating ice cream in swimming pool while everyone waiting impatiently! Very dated and needs upgrading, disappointed won’t be returning again. Fell down stairs in swimming pool really bruised my knee and life guards looking at me not said a word to see if I was okay! Could not get any wifi

Liked: The entertainment was brilliant lots of things to do the pool was amazing my 9 and 7 year old loved the slides and the outdoor pool was brilliant for my 3 year old. Security was always friendly and helpful. The pitches were nice and spacey and clean. Only down side and why I gave 4* is the touring showers they wasn’t clean or well kept the showers are very low I’m only 5ft 4 and I had to bend down to wash properly and had quite big gaps when the door is shut.

Disliked: The touring showers. Very unkept and dated

Liked: Directions to the park were very straight forward. Booking in was quick and easy. Pitch size was more than enough. Venue location was within walking distance and catered for all ages. Great bus service right outside the park.

Disliked: Locating of pitch was not easy to find. Markings on the floor not great to follow. Road in and out full of pot holes. Shower block was disgusting Worse I’ve ever used. Never see the cleaner at all over my 5 day stay. Could do with knocking down and rebuilding. Venue toilet all tho they have been upgraded most toilet seat we’re hanging off.

Liked: Wasn’t pleased with anything tbh

Disliked: Pitch was full of rubbish and it took me 3 times to go to reception to report it before someone actually came and cleared up, also was other peoples cars parked on my pitch. And Friday night we reported a smell of cannabis coming from over the way and this continued to be smelt all of our stay till we came away this morning. Security never dealt with it .

Local attractions

Gorgeous Great Yarmouth, stretches of sandy beach and the Norfolk Broads are all within easy reach of Vauxhall Holiday Park. Start off with the Pleasure Beach and racecourse of this seaside town, browse around its market or take the kids to nearby adventure park BeWILDerwood for a bedazzling day out among the zipwires and Crocklebogs. As well as the Broads, Norfolk has loads to see and do, whatever floats your boat: classic golf courses, more seaside towns at Cromer and Hunstanton, historical pads like Blickling Hall and the royal residence of Sandringham, and the Nelson Museum and award-winning Time & Tide Museum, both at Great Yarmouth. For steam fans, there's a pick of four heritage railways to sightsee while sitting, including the 18-mile Bure Valley route through the Broads and the longest heritage railway in East Anglia, the Mid-Norfolk Railway. Birdwatchers can get their beaks into several RSPB and nature reserves all around: start off at the oldest Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve in the county, Cley Marshes, then take a trip to the biggest at Hickling Broad. Head south to Suffolk for the seaside town and beach huts of Southwold, the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Anglo-Saxon burial at Sutton Hoo, or into Essex for the historic town of Colchester, Epping Forest and another seaside resort at Southend-on-Sea.
