What customers say

This well-maintained site gets top marks for roomy, level spots & super clean washrooms, especially the wet rooms. Staff are always friendly & welcoming. The pub & food truck are hits, with live music often on weekends. Handy for Ely, it's a great spot for a chill break. Some note occasional road noise & fewer food choices mid-week.

Liked Lovely campsite, friendly staff and the facilities are fantastic, clean and tidy. Having the disabled facilities is really great. On the day we were due to leave our son was ill so we spoke to Sal, Jayne and Trev and they were able to extend our booking until or son was feeling better. We ended up staying another week to ensure he was ok. The live bands are lovely to either go to the onsite pub to watch or listen to from your caravan. The food bar at the weekends is a lovely idea too and reasonably priced. Having an onsite washing machine that you can use is a great idea and enables us to do a wash load before moving into another site and not spend a morning finding a laundrette. Our son loved making friends and playing in the trampoline next to the bar. The dog walk accross the road is lovely too

Liked Absolutely nothing to dislike! Jane welcomed us in and helped us as first time campers! The site was clean and not over crowded, all the staff we encountered were so lovely, friendly and helpful.

The facilities were so modern and clean, very well kept.

The little bar was brilliant! Loved its style and the barman ( maybe called Trevor) was super friendly.

We enjoyed 2 pizzas and chicken salt chips from the food van! Can not recommend the food enough! Watch out Dominos!

The band on Saturday night were brilliant!

We were sad to leave but will definitely be returning!

Highly recommend Slade Paddock!

Liked Site was very clean and well kept, there was enough spaces between pitches and you didn’t feel on top of each other. The other campers were all very friendly and the little bar and food on site was great! Overall a really good site, will definitely visit again.

Local attractions

Ely (15 minutes’ drive) has endless activities to keep you entertained: head to this town to roam around the cracking cathedral and stained-glass museum before leaping onto a Liberty Belle Cruises boat at Ship Lane to bob along the Great Ouse river. Fancy a flutter? Newmarket (35 minutes) is known for being the birthplace of horse racing, so it’s a must-visit spot for equestrian types. Peer at the high-tech displays in Palace House’s National Horseracing Museum, timing your visit to the town just right to catch a fixture at the renowned racecourse afterwards. If you’re hot on history, you’ll want to amble around Anglesey Abbey (35 minutes) and admire the artworks before covering some of the 98 acres of grounds during a stroll. Wander to Wimpole Hall (40 minutes) later on, stopping to fawn over the farm animals that live here, then eye up the aviation displays – an old Concorde plane included – at the Imperial War Museum Duxford (40 minutes). Many of East Anglia’s other absorbing attractions are in Cambridge (40 minutes): think a series of stunning colleges, fab art galleries like the Fitzwilliam Museum and pleasant punting on the River Cam.
