Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: The site was beautifully maintained and lovely garden and planting areas. Good toilet and shower facilities. The staff in both the pub and the cafe were extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely, fresh produce in the cafe…… the cakes especially! We enjoyed the Biker Night event on our first night and Live Music on the second….. a well timed visit!

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: Level spacious pitches, small site so not over crowded. Good hot large showers which were clean and tidy. Loved the attached pub and onsite little shop for fresh vegetables to buy. The pub does an amazing steak pie with side dishes 🤩 Great WiFi too.

Disliked: Although the birds in the aviary look very beautiful, they are a little noisy in the morning/day but it certainly wouldn’t stop us coming again to this campsite.

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: Brilliant customer service in pub and shop - so friendly and helpful, with great food and drink on offer. Excellent food and drink in the shop/deli - the selection of meat, veg and deli foods were carefully considered and the shop is clearly well used by locals as well as incoming customers. Beautiful location. Toilets and showers were exemplary - modern, clean and thoughtful touches like free female sanitary goods. Campsite was easily accessible and well thought out. Also well lit at night.

Disliked: Nothing.

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: Lovely little pubstop site with the bonus of 24hr access to showers and toilets. Very good cafe and shop selling an excellent range of goods and yummy cake. Toilets and showers nice and clean. Two showers with toilets in with key access on the side of the pub just a short walk from the pitches and two toilets on the pitch site. Great base for walking and friendly staff and Landlord Matt we were made to feel very welcome. The campsite is on a hill but the pitches have been cleverly designed so they are level. We had non hook up and had a great view of the aviary so enjoyed watching the birds. There are a few pods you can hire right at the top too. A real effort has been made to make this small site attractive to stay on with a couple of water features and border planting. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you. Good sized pub and garden.

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: Great site, pub and shop/coffee bar on site. Great food and well stocked shop. Facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful

Disliked: Pitches are flat, gravel on matting, which is great but getting on to them is very steep especially for bigger motorhomes. Recommend that if you have a heavier van you book a pitch, lower down. Ideal for campervans
