Great value, quiet with helpful staff. Lovely views, clean facilities & resident alpacas are a hit! Good stopover. Road in is bumpy, amenities a short walk, some pitches close. Highly recommended, many return.

Liked A hidden gem of a site and wonderful staff.
They couldn’t have been anymore welcoming, accommodating, helpful and friendly.
Lovely site with clean facilities, just where we needed to stay overnight for a local event.
Nice and quiet.
Great views.
Even owls in the woods to help you sleep well.
We had a wonderful warm breakfast and fed the cheeky Alpacas.
We will try and find an excuse to come back and stay in better weather to enjoy properly.

From the manager: Thank you too, Darren.
It’s cheap and cheerful but delivers on what you need!
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Very friendly and helpful staff, I arrived in the dark with pouring rain yet the lady still came out before I’d even got out the van and was full of welcome.
It’s close to all the attractions or a great pitstop if passing through or stopover for work. I had a non electric pitch but such a great price, will definitely use again as a night stopover for work.
Disliked Nothing really to dislike, it is a walk down to toilets-showers but it’s only a few minutes walk. You will need a torch as it’s only lit on the main building but again this takes nothing away from the stay (if you’re here to camp you’ll have one with you anyway!) yes the driveway is a little bumpy but drive to the 5mph speed you’ll be ok!

Could try harder
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Nothing special, a field and some hardstanding.
Disliked Very poor communication: didn't reply to question re location of toilet block (arrived @ 6.00pm in dark). Didn't advise that main gate would be 'locked shut', we had gone out, luckily we got taxi, if we had gone in campervan we wouldn't have got back in!
Very bumpy track to campsite.

From the manager: Extremely annoying remarks. You know full well that we missed your message by accident and a I phoned you next morning to apologise. You are supposed to check in by visiting our reception before pitching up and you didn't. Our campsite signs direct you to reception and stipulates what to do before pitching up. Our checking in time is 8pm. We always provide the gate code to all customers when checking in. Not sure what you expect as far as a campsite goes (gold plated signs and lamp posts, maybe).
