Wonderful camp site tucked away in a pretty village
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Absolutely wonderful camp site. Can't wait to stay again.
The owner was lovely, we rang when we arrived as instructed and he talked us through the whole Camp site, the amenities and where to park. He said if we needed anything else to phone him back, which we didn't need to as he had given us a thorough talk through everything. He then popped round later to check we were ok, which was very thoughtful.
The camp itself had loads of open space it wasn't over crowded and it was lovely and flat.
It's a basic but very beautiful camp site. It has simple showers and porta loos, after reading the previous reviews it just makes me wonder... Do people remember what camping is? 😆 A loo was a luxury when I was a kid. They were clean, had toilet paper, water and soap. I genuinely don't know what people expect. So I will say, if you're coming for glamping, this isn't the site for you. If you want some beautiful walks, wildlife, views and peace and quiet, then this is definitely a good stop for you. Equally, if caravan storage is an issue for you, don't look at them as you go through the camp site, but don't panic, they aren't in the main camping area and they won't spoil your trip.
This camp site offers the ability to have a BBQ or a camp fire, don't forget to bring them with you!
Disliked Gutted we never made it up to the lovely pub around the corner. But there's always next time!

Easy and chilled
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great value for money. We booked 30mins before arrival and it was super easy and welcoming. We could then camp anywhere in the field. We also went to the local pub for dinner which was great.
Disliked Only 2 showers for whole campsite

We have taken into account that the owner was not able to be on site.
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked The camp site was in a beautiful village.
Disliked We were very disappointed in the set up of the camp site, it lacked TLC. The toilets and showers were situated in container cabins.
The shower smelt musty and stale water was laying in the back and obviously hadn't been drained.

Basic site in good location.
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked Great location near fab pub. Quiet.
Hot showers in spacious cubicles.
Good value for the location.
Disliked Site is pretty basic.
Toilets are in portacabin, and a bit grubby. No handdrier or towels so had to use loo roll. No shelving.
No lighting at night so had to leave light on in toilet block.
Entrance to pitches is via long rows of stored caravans which felt rather odd.

Not bad, had a good time. Unlikely to return.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Spacious, can have a campfire, quiet and peaceful.
Disliked No wood to buy for campfire. Needs more water taps and toilets - long walk for both.
Also, toilets are very small and only lit over the sinks and urinals. Stalls are very dark. I am 6'3" tall and you needed to sit diagonally to fit your knees in. When I stood up, I banged my head on the ceiling.
