  • Laidback pop-up site on a coastal Lincolnshire farm
  • 10 minutes’ walk to sandy beaches; 10 miles from Skegness
  • Family- and dog-friendly site with plenty of space to run around
Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and chose your own pitch on the meadow, surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked: Lovely friendly and relaxed site with Large pitches. Fabulous facilities.... and although temporary (portaloo's etc) they were immaculately clean! Plenty of toilets and showers available, together with a wonderful food van and lovely social area just away from the main camp site - so no noise. 10 minutes walk to a beautiful dog friendly beach. Country walks straight from site which kept off country lanes and roads. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Liked: Perfect If you want to be close to Skegness / mablethorpe but not within those towns this is the perfect inbetween, feels miles away from anywhere but is only a 15 min drive to both. I Loved everything about the site, pitches nice and big, lots of space for children to play, toilets and shower block were clean, pizza on Saturday night! The community area is a nice touch and you can hire fire pits. Only 10 minute walk to the beach which was a bonus. The ground was quite boggy but dried up quick in sun, self check in on arrival I know some people don’t like this but I don’t mind it, and there’s plenty of staff there through out the day, we would definitely come back

Liked: The campsite is so well laid out & tidy. We stayed in a camper van, didn’t need to use the levellers, the pitch was great, and big. No extra charge for the awning either. The showers and toilets are clean, the showers are free & even supply shampoo, conditioner & shower gel, also free. There is a food container, which provided us with delicious wood fired pizza on Saturday night. There is diff food on diff nights. In a central area with a festival theme, flags, and deck chairs. There are books & games to loan. Marshmallows to purchase. Fire pits to borrow & logs for sale. They literally have thought of everything. It is great value for money. It is 0.5 miles walk to the beach, where there is a couple of little bars & cafes on the way & a shop & cafe at the beach. We also walked 3 miles to Chapel St Leonard’s directly from the campsite, had ice creams and walked back. We drove to mablethorpe on our homeward bound which took 20 mins. It really is a great location. We’ve had a great weekend.

Liked: Really loved this campsite. Toilets/showers spotless, the pitches were level and well maintained. Some good facilities on site such as a secure field for dogs, free fire pits, a mobile phone charging facility, freezers, stone baked pizzas, a fish and chip van that comes on Fridays. One of the best campsites I have stayed at!

Liked: Fantastic campsite. Very peaceful. Everything we needed. Nice clean toilets, fire pits, phone charger points and the Jolly Roger fish and chip van visiting on Friday night 😋. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach ! Can't wait to go back again especially as the campsite are starting a new venture with their Creekside Kitchen serving food on the campsite 😃.

Disliked: WiFi is a great added bonus but it did keep losing its signal on my phone... But I don't go camping to be connected all the time so it was not a problem...

Local attractions

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
