Liked: A lovely small site, had a wondeful time. Rachael made us feel very welcome and flasks of hot water and milk dropped off in the morning for our tea and coffee was lovely was a nice touch. We stayed in Nia the Shephards Hut and it was perfect for the 2 of us, much more spacious than the pictures show with a wonderful stove, table and chairs inside and out plus the bed was very comfy.
Disliked: The only slight downside was the shower and toilet, there was only 1 shower (an additional toilet in a small shed next door). You can see they'll be issues if the site was at full capacity or if people weren't courteous and not clean it after themselves.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: I stayed here as a back-packer in a tent for one night in 2023 and liked it so much I used it as my base camp for 6 nights in my tent in 2024. Campsite well maintained. Showers/Toilet immaculate. Owners friendly and respond promptly. Nice scenery with large fishing pool. The great god-send is the "pavilion", a very large pool side hut that provides an indoor food preparation area, kitchen sink, microwave, electric kettle, fridge and a vast communal meeting/dinning area. It also has several 13 amp sockets. This becomes a major benefit in bad weather. It is not the sort of place if you require half a football pitch for your own exclusive use. Overall I strongly recommend this site.
Disliked: Only has one toilet, one wash basin and one shower all in the one building. So when one of those facilities is in use the rest are unusable to the rest of the campsite.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback it is very useful. Just to let you know we have another toilet and outdoor sink behind the other bathroom. We are looking to put in another bathroom I'm due course.

Liked: Lovely little accommodation in a very quiet area. The accommodation was very well maintained and the delivery of a flask of hot water and a pint of milk for morning coffees was a lovely touch. Great location, with only a five minute walk, into the village of Painswick, to the pubs and cafés. Will definitely stay again.

Liked: A great small campsite near the beautiful town of Painswick. We had a lovely couple of nights watching the stars by our campfire. Friendly owners, and a camper's room to chill in, if the weather gets a bit nasty!
