What customers say
This small, peaceful rural campsite is praised for its beautiful location, spacious pitches, and immaculately clean, albeit basic, facilities, including a good hot shower. Guests highlight the exceptionally friendly and helpful owner, Sam, who makes visitors feel welcome. It's ideal for those seeking tranquility and proximity to countryside walks and local pubs. Minor points include intermittent phone signal and a lack of internal lighting in portable toilets.

A perfect short break surrounded by stunning scenery.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This camp site is a small peaceful rural site in a beautiful area surrounded by many walks and pubs close by. The lady who runs it was welcoming and is doing an excellent job. The toilets are portable but clean. There is a perfectly adequate shower too with hot water. We would have no problem returning.
Disliked Theres nothing to dislike. If you are not a fan of farm yard animals, cows, dogs etc, dont book a farm stay.

Liked The site was exactly as described, only better.
Sam, the owner ensured everything was spicy & span.
When we had to adjust our plans, Sam sorted it.
It's non electric, so bring your battery phone chargers & ensure you can pump up your airbed.

Great site
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked It is a lovely site which is very quiet and in a beautiful valley. The host couldn't have been nicer and spent time chat to us. Very clean site, basic but all that you need. Only about 9/10 plots so plenty of room to spread out and relax.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A very warm and kind reception from Sam upon arrival. Site was very clean and well set up. Toilets were clean, bins provided and a decent shower. The site was small, for maybe 8-10 pitches, but plenty of room between them. May look at using the already set up tents for next time, would save a lot of messing 😂

Meteor bell tent (basic)
Liked Stayed in the Bell Tent on site, good that it was already set up and with internal matting - and very spacious for the two of us. Quiet rural setting for the campsite in the countryside. Small site with not too many pitches. Owner was helpful and very kind to us as we had travelled by bike with limited gear. Good firepit available on blocks and wood/ logs and firelighters available to buy on site which is a good idea. Washing facilities were clean.
