Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Lovely owners, very friendly and really helpful. Campsite is lovely and in a great location.

Disliked: No official "bin" on site, there is dog waste bin, but not for general rubbish

Disliked: The farm floodlight stays on too late and spoils the solitude/darkness, but only a minor thing.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Didn't stay

Disliked: Place seemed overly busy. Found an empty pitch but was at the top of a grassy field. Was wet and my van wouldn't get to it. Seemed poor parking from other users which could have been alot better, other possible pitches had cars parked in them. Drove 4 hours home and didn't stay. Owner didn't respond to my WhatsApp message

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: Gorgeous views, friendly site, lots of local pubs & food in Castleton just a short walk away. Friendly staff and clean toilets.

Disliked: The only negative would be the loud groups on sight, shouting and playing music but those can’t be helped sometimes. It all seemed to quieten off after midnight which wasn’t too bad. The field is on a slope which is clearly stated on the booking so not a negative, just an FYI if you have levellers for your van - bring them!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Really enjoyed this campsite. Beautiful views with some goats, chickens and cows. Lots of sheep nearby as well as plenty of walks from the campsite. Easy driving to plenty of classic Peak District attractions such as Bamford Edge or Chatsworth house. Jess was lovely and made it feel really cozy and welcoming.
