Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: We really loved the location of the camping site, it was very close to the local pub and had lovely views! The toilets were always clean and the little room off to the side was cosy, with plug sockets. We felt very welcome on the campsite, and the owner was happy to help with any questions we had and was able to give us suggestions of things to do! We will definitely be staying here again!

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Very peaceful lots of sheep in the surrounding fields and great view in clear weather. The toilet block was very clean.
Disliked: It didn't affect me but something to consider if walking to the pub etc is the road back to the site is quite steep. There's also nothing for kids unless they bring a football or something.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Would recommend for anyone wanting a base for local hikes or for exploring the Peak District. Close to Mam Tor, Castleton and Buxton. Toilets very clean with a well maintained communal area with a large sink for washing up. Site was very peaceful despite being fairly busy. Surrounded by lovely scenery of fields and hills.
Disliked: Site became quite muddy near gates which may be a problem for cars after heavy rain. Some of the pitches are not very level.
