  • Private woodland glamping site on a non-working farm
  • A five-minute walk to Salcey Forest; 20 minutes’ drive to Willen Lake
  • Five minutes' drive to the local pub; firepits and barbecues provided
Mix up a dash of indulgence, romance and adventure, and what do you get? Eakley Manor Farm Glamping, a luxury glamping site tucked away in the northern Buckinghamshire fringes with its own private woodland, set within a 10-acre farm. Being just a five-minute walk from Salcey Forest certainly has its advantages, especially for walkers, cyclists and pony hackers visiting the area. Eakley Manor Farm is a non-working farm with equestrian facilities. It’s a hidden haven for a romantic weekend break or a family getaway, with a fabulous fusion of alfresco adventure and outdoor luxury. All the accommodation comes with its own firepit and barbecue for alfresco cooking and relaxing… it's a space to stargaze, exchange tales and sink your teeth into burgers (veggie or not) or whatever creative eats you can come up with. The site’s two miles from the small Buckinghamshire village of Stoke Goldington, so a few minutes' drive will get you to a characterful country pub, stone houses, a recreation ground and kids’ play park. Source more splendid wine and food (for all tastes) at other local pubs within five minutes’ drive of the farm. That’ll top your battery up nicely, just in time for a visit to Willen Lake, 20 minutes’ drive away, which has watersports, an aqua park and archery to get your gears into action.

Bell tent

Liked: Loved the warm welcome when we arrived . My 3 year old loved meeting the horses and especially loved feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs! A very nice touch was for the owner ( wish I caught his name ) gave us the eggs that my daughter collected. The tent was very comfortable and clean ,BBQ we hired was great, also the firepit, well worth the extra we paid. We will definitely come back.

Disliked: Nothing !

Cedar shepherd's hut

Liked: What a beautiful site - everything we wanted from a short stay in the countryside. The owner met us on arrival and showed us everything we needed to know, including the direction of some walks and farm animals. The site is next to a quiet road and even the occasional car noise was dulled by the a thick hedge, so it was incredibly peaceful. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was very clean, modern and surprisingly spacious. The bed was incredibly comfy and we were supplied with a fan as the weather was extremely hot - for colder months there is an indoor log burner and outdoor fire pit, which we didn't use. In terms of cooking facilities there is a microwave that looks as though it would operate as a grill / small oven and a single ring electric stove. However, we paid to have use the of the BBQ and were given plenty of charcoal and equipment and cooked a lovely meal in the evening sun. There is a good sized fridge and both indoor and outdoor dining tables. I couldn't recommend this highly enough for anybody looking to have a spot of luxury while still escaping to the outdoors. Thanks for having us.

Local attractions

When you’re ready to tear yourself away from the luxuries at Eakley Manor Farm Glamping, it’s just as splendid out and about. Home of the Pancake Race, which has been a tradition since 1445, the historic market town of Olney (15 minutes' drive) has a museum, theatre and plenty of pubs. Perhaps you’d like to spot a few animals on your break – either exotic species or native ones? Both are possible – the Woburn area has the Woburn Safari Park (25 minutes) and Woburn Abbey Deer Park (half an hour). Central Milton Keynes (20 minutes) has an excellent shopping centre, while in Newport Pagnell (15 minutes), a heritage trail will lead you past the parish church and gorgeous riverside. If you’re craving the big smoke and all of its attractions instead, trains from Milton Keynes to London take 35 minutes. Meanwhile, Silverstone Circuit (35 minutes) is on hand for motor events, or those who’d like to get behind the wheel themselves.
