Liked Fantastic little campsite, right by the river, and more importantly right by a super pub - Good size pitches, it was throwing it down with rain over our first night but that didnt spoil the pitch, the whole site drains very quickly, no waterlogged messing about. Facilities are good, a bit basic and the smallest hooks you'll ever see in showers to hang your towel etc up, but super warm showers - Bit of a grumble about 50p for a shower which can live with but then the wife told me another 20p for hairdryers which I understand businesses have to to turn a profit, but for experience, like they offer free wifi, just up the pitch fee 20p and have free showers etc.
Disliked Like said above, the 50p for showers and 20p for hairdryers is a whinge, just a poor experience, I'd rather the site just added it onto pitch fee and offered free showers like 99% of other campsites - They offer free wifi, so why not showers. Apart from that the site is genuinely a lovely spot by the river, the staff were fantastic at check in and as we were leaving, couldnt be more helpful.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and feedback. It is stated that the showers cost 50p for approx 10 minutes, the reason for this is to stop customers from having to queue for the showers when we are fully booked. I hope this helps, and didn't ruin your holiday too much. We look forward to you hopefully visiting us again. Many Thanks The Old Post Office Team

Liked Location was good for us, on way back to Calais. Town is short walk away, typical small French town centre. Pitch was large, shady which we needed as was baking hot.
Disliked It was just untidy / not clean as it should be. Toilets were less than clean. General unkempt site, could do with a right good clear up,

Liked Fantastic set up - Back to basics, huge field, loads of space, free pitching wherever you want on field - Some on a slope, lots of flat. Lovely entrance through a section with a dozen or so electric hook ups... Through another fence and its all "free" - No hook ups... Couple of Portaloos - No showers to my knowledge.... Lucky in that we are in our van so no need for facilities. Really friendly owner who popped around in evening to collect payments and check everything ok. Great views, hills and plenty of walks around. Definitely would recommend.
Disliked Nothing - Its a free camping field, with portaloo and thats it... If you want the full "Holiday Park" withs bars and swimming pools, this just isnt what your looking for -

Liked Great site. Good flat big pitches. Lock side location, great for a walk. Fab pub within 5mins.
Disliked Didn’t cause me any problems but there is a road and railway line close by.

Liked Quiet site, bit early in the season so not many people staying, but sure even in high season it would be peaceful, good size pitches, shaded, separated with hedges, a 5minute walk into village, lovely park and riverside across from campsite - Great site for a stopover or couple of days.
Disliked It was a bit ropey cleanliness wise, not unclean but not pinging shiny clean in the bathrooms / showers -

Liked Great welcome, very friendly and informative staff. Facilities were clean and plenty of them. Pitches were spacious and fully serviced, clean, level and private with tree-line / bushes between pitches.
Great location for bus into city center, nice walks around public park attached to campsite. Ideal for a stopover or couple of days sight seeing in locality.
Disliked Not sure this is a regular occurrence but there was a rave going on in the park on the Saturday night we arrived - We're not against music in anyway and enjoy a club or two so it didnt really bother us too much but it was loud right up to about 1.30am. It didnt stop our kids sleeping in anyway, but I'm sure some people would be upset about it. So I'd check when booking.
The only other issue was the facilities in the public park associated with the campsite were a bit tired or broken, however I must stress the campsite facilities were excellent and we could not complain about those.
Oh and the wifi was not working for a couple of days.
