Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Just returned from a short trip to the top of Suffolk, where we pitched up at this lovely little campsite. It was perfect for us, the pitches were huge, you could easily get two tents on them, good if you were with your family or friends. The facilities were clean and tidy, the washing up sinks were under cover and the whole site was flat with nicely cut grass. The pre sent information was excellent, giving places to visit and local food stores and eateries. There was plenty of room for the children to ride their bikes and play on a large grassy area for ball games etc. Callum met use on our arrival and popped over to see us on our departure, he was a really nice chap, sadly we didn’t meet Sarah. We would definitely use the site again if we are the area. Thank you C & S and good luck for the future.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review, Jeremy. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the space on your pitch and found the water and electric points close by and convenient. It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the clean facilities too. We’re especially grateful for your kind words about your welcome — we always want guests to feel relaxed and at home from the moment they arrive. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to see you back here in the Suffolk countryside for another peaceful break soon.

Great site
Well what’s not to like about this site £17 a night, it’s sits in a lovely area of the Peak District. Close to Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock! To be honest three days was not really long enough to take it all in. The site was nicely mown and tidy, thanks to the gardener. We will happily stay again, hopefully next year as we need to visit so other places to visit. Thanks for a nice break!
Disliked We have two observations that could be sorted really easily, both in the washing up area, a light and the sink needs fixing in place.

Liked Pitch up notes for the Paddocks
Well, where do we start? It’s not very often that you can say a campsite is perfect in your own eyes, but The Paddocks is one of those! On arrival we were greeted by Juliette with a big smile and, full of helpfulness, she took time to show us all the site had to offer; showers, toilets, washing facilities and Wi-Fi etc and then she took us to our large, allocated pitch. We had a non electric pitch and there were already a few tents and camper vans dotted around. It looked perfect, the grass was nice and short with very few cuttings laying around. During our stay we watched as Leigh maintained the site daily. The other half of the site had some hard standings and services plus electric for tents and camper vans. The facilities were also of the highest standard and meticulously clean. The powerful hot showers and toilets were what you would have in your own home. These were all situated in a large building containing the washing up area with all the sundries supplied, washing up liquid, sponges, cloths, brushes etc. Also in the room was a large wooden picnic bench style table, a microwave, kettle, a fridge freezer with ice and water as well as another freezer and fridge. There were even bags, stickers and pens for us to use to label and store our food. It would be a very welcome space if the weather was inclement. There were packets with coffee and tea for sale in case you ran out, milk and eggs were also for sale (both chicken and duck). You could hire BBQ’s, fire pits and chiminea or just buy logs, coals and firefighters if you ran out. Juliette and Leigh are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much for either of them; in fact we had some very high winds one day and a couple of pegs came loose on our tent, so Leigh went over and sorted it out for us while we were away. I could continue writing more great stuff about this site, but my suggestion would be just book up and enjoy it! Thank you to both for making our Welsh holiday so lovely, see you again the future Jeremy and Alison.

Oakham, Rutland, England
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Well we have just arrived home after spending a lovely few days at the Cuckoo Farm campsite, the site is situated in a part of Rutlands beautiful rolling countryside. It is a short drive to Rutland Water and Stamford being a little further but well worth a visit, not forgetting Oakham. Karen and Andy are the park wardens, both keeping the site immaculate, lovely clean shower rooms and toilets and small shop for those emergencies. We will definitely be back when we next visit Rutland, I must also give a mention to the Fox North Luffenham, we enjoyed a great meal in a beautiful old pub. Jeremy and Ali.
