Liked Good location to the town and beach.

Disliked We booked this site as a bit of a luxury treat and a chance to reset after travelling around in our campervan, so unfortunately it was quite a disappointing stay. A few hours after making the booking and payment, we received a phone call to say there had been a glitch in the booking system and the fully serviced pitch we had booked wasn’t actually available. Mistakes happen, and we were happy to accept a grass pitch instead, but unfortunately when we arrived we found the grass pitches were all very sloping and positioned quite closely together. We had to ask to be moved and ended up changing pitches twice during our stay, which wasn’t exactly the relaxing experience we had hoped for. For the price, we were also disappointed with the facilities. They felt quite dated, unclean and generally a little messy, we’ve stayed at much nicer sites for considerably less money. The phone signal was also very poor on both pitches we stayed on, and wasn’t able to reach the site’s free Wi-Fi, which was frustrating. The site was also very busy with groups and families, with dogs barking and loud music continuing until quite late at night. It was during the summer holidays, so we appreciate that some noise is to be expected, but it did add to the feeling that this wasn’t the peaceful reset we had booked it for. Overall, we felt the site was very expensive for what it offered and unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. We’ve stayed at plenty of sites that offered a much better experience for considerably less.
