Unpowered grass site
Liked Flat shady pitch as requested. Clean facilities with friendly and accommodating owners. Enjoyed a paddle in the brook to cool down as we were there in very hot weather! Easy to find fromA40 and convenient for local attractions. Will use again.
Disliked Very sketchy mobile signal.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Charles was very accommodating and pitched us in the Lea of strong westerly winds. Toilet block always clean and warm when the blower heater was on. The table tennis table in doors was an added bonus. So happy here we stayed an extra night. Use of freezer, fridge and washing machine all free.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Facilities were clean and comfortable with underfloor heating. There were many flat pitches to choose from and the location and views great.
Disliked Nothing to do with the site but it was a hard walk to the beach( many steps ). If you don’t want to walk to the beach you can take the car which will cost £8 to park!!! Not good for a quick visit.

Ashurst, Hampshire, England
Unpowered gravel caravan site
Liked Liked nothing at all as we were turned away from site which I had previously booked and paid for two nights. We were told that we had a commercial vehicle. It is not and never has been a commercial vehicle. We are a respectable retired couple and felt that we were unfairly treated. We were told that no camp site in the new forest would accept us. How wrong. We were welcomed a few miles down the road at Denny Wood with no issues whatsoever.
Disliked Disliked the attitude of the manager Sinead who treated us with no respect at all. In our opinion she shouldn’t be working in a person facing profession. She has no people skills. This may seem a strong review, but justified.

Liked First stay at site, friendly owners who came round couple of times to check up on site. No problems with use of compost toilets as they are emptied regularly. Showers lovely and warm.
