Disliked Pictures do not represent facilities. The site has been taken over by Camping Origin and is in a transition period. Clear changes happening - which will be for the better - but details not updated on site. Bit disappointed by the pool area, no slides as thought from pictures and description of site and layout strange. Sun loungers are by the drinks/seating area Early one morning an old caravan was being dismantled - extremely noisy and not for warmed about this

Liked Wonderful site with friendly owners. The facilities are immaculate and plenty so no waiting. Pitches well spaced and of a good site. Small pool, bar and a host of games such as pool, badminton, tennis and an outdoor gym area. Well positioned for access to local sites and areas of interest.

Liked Brilliant for exploring Bayeux and the local area. Friendly welcome, clean site, plenty of showers, washing up areas etc. swimming pool passes included. Would stay again.

Disliked Shower floors very wet as people didn’t clean up after themselves but mops are provided.

Liked Great location for access to Ilfracombe, coastal walks and venturing further a field. The site was very clean and well maintained. Even though everyone cleaned the showers, the staff tried their best to clean them clean and tidy. Pitches excellent with grey waste, water and electric on hard standing. Extremely sheltered from the elements.

Disliked Pitches extremely hard and rocky, difficult to get awning pegs in (broke our hammer!) No facilities for hand washing clothes such as swim wear after a day at the beach. Showers were cleaned regularly but by male staff which is quite unsettling when you are female and in the shower. Would be better if they announced they were entering or asked if this was ok.

Liked Extremely friendly greeting where we were told all about the site, how to set up etc. the site was very clean and tidy with staff constantly busy ensuring everything was pristine. Large hard standing pitch with water and waste disposal close by. All facilities were immaculate. The showers were hot and just powerful enough. A small shop supplies the necessities. The site is close to the train and bus stations (5 minute walk) with excellent links to the surrounding area. There is also a couple of small shops and pubs within east walking distance. We will definitely be going back to Whitemead.
