Le Boulou, Pyrénées-Orientales, France
Powered grass and earth site
Liked Team running the site are amazing - very friendly and helpful. Great views of the nearby mountains and the sunrise. Facilities are well designed and stylish and always spotlessly clean. We haven’t used it yet, but the pool is beautiful too. People travelling with kids will be happy as there’s a great play park and ball games area, with exercise equipment for older people. It’s a five minute drive to a supermarket and well placed for trips to the Pyrenees or our favourite beach at Coulliere. A lot of thought, care and hard work has been put into this site and that is why everyone smiles here!

Power optional grass caravan site
Liked Very clean and tidy site, friendly people and spotless showers, toilets and wash-up facilities. Les Chesnets is an easy 20 walk and the local station, another 10 minutes. The train to Paris takes only 30 minutes and run very frequently - we just turned up and waited no more than 15 minutes. Tickets are cheap as chips!
Disliked Nothing - everything good.

Liked Lovely helpful people in the office! Village doesn’t have much going on but the people are friendly and kind. Abbey is definitely worth a visit and so too is the La Petite Auberge opposite. Site well laid out with hedges for privacy
Disliked One toilet block needs new lightbulbs and an extra toilet seat. Both blocks need a deep clean!

Tall Pines powered gravel motorhome site
Liked Shower and toilet block well equipped and modern. Friendly and helpful management team. Great location for Loch Lomond. Level pitch.
Disliked Site needs some attention to detail - lots of litter on and around our pitch. Toilet seats needed tightening. Perhaps remove manufacturers’ sticky labels on sinks/toilets. Give toiletry holders in showers a decent scrub. Planters could have used some tidying. Passage between office and toilets used as dumping ground. Decking areas would have benefited from a sweep. Nothing that affected our stay directly but make a difference to general impression and could be improved fairly easily.

Meadow powered grass and gravel site
Liked Great location, friendly and helpful management with a well stocked shop. Beautiful woodland location, close proximity to Aberfoyle which was accessible by tarmac off-road cycle path with a coop, pubs and a cafe. Great for walkers, cyclists and families. Good well-used playground. Managers worked hard to maintain the site in heavy rain and soft ground, made worse by some visitors digging into the ground by over-revving engines. Good, information, recycling facilities and water points.
Disliked Facilities are a little tatty. Often debris behind shower doors that is hidden when being cleaned. Two showers were slow draining and doors are fastened by cabin hooks which works but would have been better had regular indicator sliding bolts been used. Toilet roll often used up by 9.00am in the gents (probably worth bringing your own supply!).

Liked Fabulous showers (best we’ve ever used for heat and cleanliness), views to the sea and a peaceful site. Proximity to the Coastal Path was great (15 minute walk). Boscastle farm shop (almost next door) perfect for food supplies and delicious breakfasts/coffee. No Wi-Fi but there was a strong 4G signal everywhere.
Disliked Everything great - nothing to dislike!
