Coleford, Gloucestershire, England
Power optional grass site
Liked Lovely site, not overcrowded, with plenty of open space in the centre for kids to play & adults to play. Novelty of being half in England, half in Wales. Excellent, freshly made pizzas! Also a fabulous selection of alcoholic and non- alcoholic beers. Great location for visiting plenty of tourist attractions a short drive away. Facilities were clean and always had toilet roll. Public footpaths through the site to the woods at the back was great for walking! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Free wifi in the bar area is always a bonus.
Disliked Literally the only qualm was not being able to control the temperature of the showers. There was plenty of hot water but it was too hot at times. I heard a few of the younger kids say it was too hot for them too.

Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Beautiful setting for the site and camping field close to toilets and showers. On site cafe is really handy. Staff were very friendly. Just down the road from the mountain biking site. Very dog friendly. Very clean showers and toilets. Sire was quiet but family friendly. Plenty of picnic tables in the tent field
Disliked Only comments are that the toilet block could do with changing rooms separate to the showers and shelter over the washing up area. No gender neutral toilet or shower facilities, not accessible for wheelchair users.
