Liked Bar very nice and food was very good served in bar. Toilets and showers very nice and modern and clean. Staff very friendly.
Disliked Pool small for size of site crowded with children so unable to swim. Pool hours are 10-6pm maybe open and hour earlier and hour later and make that adult only time. Pitches are in full sun no shade at all making it rather unbearable. Ground so hard was difficult getting tent pegs in and couldn’t use an umbrella either as would not go in the ground as so hard, even the fork umbrella stand would not go in ground. Grass like straw so constantly getting splinters in feet. Dogs paws kept bleeding from sharpness of grass. At least 5 miles to a shop to drive. Shop on site had basics but not much food. No freezer for your ice blocks which is a big necessity to a camper.

Liked People very friendly and food very good in boathouse bar. Fairly priced average 15.00 per person. Pitch size very large plenty of space
Disliked NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Can only only walk your dog around park. Had to eat breakfast and dinner in the freezing cold and rain outside. Not allowed in any bar, food area inside or entertainment area so found ourselves extremely bored of an evening. Showers and toilets not very close to camping area, had to drive the waste to it as too heavy to carry that far when disposing of it.
Also any activities had to be booked and when tried to book everything was full up.

Liked Pool
Disliked Very unwelcoming on arrival, abrupt that half hour early but eventually let us in. Site is 90% residential permanent residents so feels like your camping in someone’s back garden, no cheerful holiday atmosphere at all, couldn’t wait to leave if honest. Staff at bar were calling in sick so on off bar available, food only available 3 days a week at set times. Pitch size ok but mass of residents surrounding you who on arrival read you the rules. Moved on to southleigh manor holiday park across the road where was completely different full of welcome and proper holiday cheer. Would not ever go to this campsite again. Man walking round of an evening in camp with an Alsation dog telling the kids off for making noise etc.
