    The Forest Location.

The Cafe Owner was extremely helpful.

The Quiche and Vienneese Fingers are excellent.

    Disliked:

The Website for Lowther Holiday Park shows The Squirrel Inn as the onsite Restaurant and Bar.
The Onsite Bakery and Cafe sold snacks and drinks.

We booked the park for two nights based on the fact there was a Cafe and Restaurant.

On Arrival we investigate the menu options only to be told that the Restaurant only served food on Sundays after 2pm and the Cafe was only open for short hours each day.

The Nearest shop is over 3 miles away and with a Motorhome, we were struggling to park.

When we spoke to the cafe Lady owner, she did what she could to help and she explained that they an the Restaurant are not owned by the site but by other business owners.

The Receptionist was polite and advise the situation was as the Cafe owner advised.

We paid for two nights but stayed for one as we feel the facilities were not as advertised.

The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness, which enhanced our experience, and the children had a great time in the play areas. The campsite's security measures, including key codes, ensured a safe environment, while the well-kept grass added to the overall appeal of the park.

    Disliked:

During our camping experience, we found the campsite's pitches uncomfortably close, leading to our guy lines becoming entangled with our neighboring campers. Unfortunately, the facilities were in need of improvement, lacking a high standard of cleanliness. Notably, a persistent toilet stain remained unchanged for three days. Additionally, the dish washing area would benefit from a pressure wash to address the prevalence of spiders, even considering the rural setting where spider populations are prominent.

    Woodland/riverside walks
    Decent hot shower

    Disliked:

Location- nothing nearby in walking distance
Price - really expensive for a very standard pitch with EHU and not much else included
General upkeep of park- looked very run down and scruffy. Lots of seasonal caravans and pitches that aren’t maintained well and also static caravans in disrepair.
Rubbish overflowing in all the bins on-site, very smelly
Shop very lacking in choice and pub limited opening times with no food being served weekdays.
Everywhere seemed very tired and run down and not really as advertised. Very disappointing, supposed to be staying 3 nights and we left after the first night and went elsewhere.

Spacious pitches, clean toilets and showers. There's even a bath in the same block!

    Disliked:

Pitch 8A needs a long electric hookup cable to reach the outlet point. Lots of bins available, but all overflowing. Maybe bad timing, but not a good look at the price we paid per night.
