Good clean facilities. Due to heavy rain the ground was very soft but the owners helped us so as not to sink in soft ground

Greeted by friendly owners who
showed us to our pitch. The site is lovely. So many birds feeding from the feeders on the statics. Was a joy to see. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed it. The river is just at the bottom of the site. There are plenty of walks as we have a dog this was great. The church is really old and worth a look at. All in all perfect!

The site pitch was very good reasonably level. Lovely peaceful and quiet site. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The showers need upgrading and heating for the cooler months.

Beautiful setting with lovely views of an old church and sounds of nearby river. Peaceful.
Roomy pitch with reasonable facilities. Friendly welcome. As a single female, felt safe.

The Shepherds Hut was perfect. It was that clean when I spilt water on the floor, when clearing up my white tissue remained white. The lady who greeted us was very lovely.

Upon arrival we were discussing the cool phone box full of wood and how we might come and grab some later if ours runs out (nothing was said at this point). My partner and I were sat having a BBQ (tin one) and had a small fire lit (with our own wood at this point). A man came over and stated ‘That is not a BBQ and you took that fire from our property, that is blatant theft’. No introduction. We apologised instantly and offered to purchase more wood to replace theirs and tried to explain the confusion to which we were spoken over so not sure this was acknowledged. The man told us that we’d ‘better let that fire go out’ and not to replace the wood as ‘no point now.’ Didn’t see him again but was informed he was the man who owns it. This wasn’t a necessary interaction. A simple ‘hey, I run here, just a couple of things..’ and have a conversation. It unsettled us for a minute as unsure what we’d done wrong. The wood was placed back upon our departure today. Really sorry again for the confusion on our part. We too, feel an apology would have been well accepted. We are nice, approachable people :)

Very friendly owners. Very accommodating when I had a technical problem with my motorhome. Offered to let me stay beyond my deadline of 12 noon whilst arrangements made for recovery pick up for my van.

What a gem of a site! So peaceful, and just a lovely setting with all of the trees etc. The shower facilities were outstanding (rainfall showers in a camp site!!), and we just felt at home as soon as we arrived. We only stayed 1 night as part of a tour, but wished we'd booked for longer, and we'll definitely be back.
