What customers say

Spectacular mountain views & peaceful riverside spot. Super clean, modern facilities (showers a winner!). On-site food's good value. Staff are tops – friendly & helpful. A few found pitches tricky or had minor gripes (slow WiFi, shop stock), but most loved it & would return.

Liked Beautiful scenery with epic views of mountains and traditional Swiss log cabins. Friendly welcome from host . Local maps available for free from reception. Free bus pass for every guest for duration of stay enabling trips up the mountain and local area. Free ski-lift passes in Evolène included with the campsite booking but it doesn’t run on Mondays. Great on-site bar and restaurant. Local cheese shop. Cosy bars within walking distance (not open on Mondays) Amazing walks . Impeccably clean toilets and showers with lovely almond-smelling soap. Local supermarket within walking distance (10 mins) . Cleanest smelling campsite facilities on our road trip round France , Belgium , Luxembourg and Switzerland by far!!

Disliked Didn’t bother us that much, but a few midgies by the river so you may need to pack citronella or retreat inside the tent at sunset . Some August building works at the moment repairing the river bank which resulted in a 7am wake up of machinery but probably isn’t going to persist . We were disappointed to choose our two-night stay on Sunday and Monday as everywhere closes on Mondays but this is the most amazing setting if you’re there Weds - Saturday!!!

Liked Beautiful setting, good sized pitch and good quality facilities. Plenty to do for the outdoor types.

Disliked Bring warm clothing for the evening because the sun sets over the beautiful mountain early!

Power optional grass site

Liked This site suffered a natural disaster earlier this year but it doesn’t detract from its location and tranquility.
Staff are wonderful, the scenery is amazing, the facilities are always clean and the restaurant is utterly charming with great food. We stay here regularly and love it!

Power optional grass site

Liked Beautiful site with magnificent views. Good facilities - really nice to have a hot shower with good pressure and no time limit! Host was welcoming and polite, the restaurant was very good. Really quiet (although not many bookings due to the flood damage earlier in the year). Option to use loungers by the pool was nice. There was space to cook and eat food as well as laundry facilities (4CHF for washing machine).

Small town within walking distance which has a bakery, butchers, fromagery (also for fresh milk).

Disliked Pool could have been cleaner.

Local attractions

Camping Molignon's Valais and Les Haudères setting is in a stunning part of the Swiss Alps, within easy reach of heady activities like mountaineering, skiing and paragliding, or gentler pursuits like walking, golfing and ice skating. Les Haudères is a popular starting point for mountain climbing, along its surrounding glacial peaks of up to 4,000 metres. On somewhat firmer ground, you can also glide gracefully (or not) on the Les Haudères natural ice skating rink: buy tickets at the Evolène regional tourist office or in the sports shops in town. If you'd like to chase a bit of culture while you're here, take a trip to Martigny (about 45 minutes' drive west) and set on roads joining Switzerland, Italy and France. Its ancient and cultural sights include a Roman amphitheatre and La Bâtiaz Castle (with toilets designed by the same architect as Harlech Castle in Wales, should you care to share this factoid with the kids). The three museums in town, including the famed Fondation Pierre Gianadda, should be stopped off at for some time too.
