What customers say

This mountain campsite offers stunning views and a peaceful vibe. Friendly, helpful staff are a highlight. Facilities are clean but a bit dated for some. Pitches can feel tight, and Wi-Fi's only at reception. Narrow access roads. Great for nature lovers and hikers.

Liked Facilities were very good

Disliked Tent pitch felt very overlooked. Kids shouting, shining torches at us, and playing horror music throughout the evening. Not good.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked Beautiful setting, the stars at night were incredible.
The facilities were very clean
The staff were all very friendly.
Lovely stop off between france and interlaken.
You can borrow scooters, push trikes for toddlers, ball games and there is a slide and swing area.

Disliked Not a deal breaker or a dislike as such but Moterhome pitches did seem a bit cramped and potential need for tight manoeuvres. Especially for larger MHs.

Liked A lovely setting on top of the hills. The views were incredible with lots of places to go for evening strolls. The facilities were well kept and clean with laundry machines too! For a motorcycle trip this was a perfect place to stop off at and stay.

Sicuramente ritorneremo!

Local attractions

Active types will no doubt be itching to discover the Bernese Alps on foot or by bike; expert hikers can yomp up the Bäderhorn (20 minutes’ drive) for stunning views to Mont Blanc from the summit. There’s a popular and way-marked loop through the Gastlosen massif from Musersbergli car park (15 minutes) that’s good for competent teenage walkers, and if you’re with younger kids, a gentle hike through alpine meadows around the campsite may suffice. Cyclists can take the switchback road through a steep mountain pass up to Jaun (around two hours by bike), a gorgeous village of traditional chalets with steep pitched roofs tucked into the mountain foothills. If you need a picnic spot, plonk yourselves down on the banks of the dramatic waterfall just outside the village. When you’re staying at Camping Jaunpass in late November, there may already be a scattering of snow. While the ski resorts don’t officially open until the end of December, you can get out on the slopes with the kids to have rollicking snowball fights or try out snowshoeing.
