Even a quick look at the pictures will tell you that Hotiday Lodge Castiglione makes a top spot for a family holiday on the Tuscany coast. Yes indeed, that is a sandy beach right by the site – meaning that it will take you approximately a minute to walk there for some time playing in the sand, a swim in the clear waters or some time relaxing on a lounger at one of the equipped areas (a charge applies for using these).
Too far, or fancy a change of scenery? There’s also a lovely open-air pool on site, open from June to September with plenty of free-use sun loungers and a shallow pool for the kids to splash about in. There’s also a play area they might like to hang out in, and there are various activities laid on for them in the summer months. Grownups, don't worry about being left out – there’s entertainment and theatre events for you too.
Accommodation here is designed with fuss-free holidays in mind as well. You'll be staying in a smart and well-equipped caravan with its own bathroom, a TV and a kitchen area with cooker, fridge and microwave. Bedding and towels are provided, and there’s both heating and air conditioning to make sure you'll be just the right temperature at all times.
Having a kitchen is very handy, but don't feel obliged to cook if you don't want to – the site also has a restaurant and bar so you can easily hand over the dinner duties (or at least reward your efforts with a nice cool drink). Alternatively, head to nearby Castiglione della Pescaia (10 minutes' drive) to try out one of the eateries over there.
