What customers say

Top spot! Shady sites, walkable to Avignon via ferry. Friendly staff, great pool. Some found loos a bit basic/dated, and a few heard entertainment noise. Dusty sites and mozzies were mentioned too.

Liked Professional and polite staff. Relatively cosy in spite of the huge size.
The proximity to downtown Avignon makes it a real good site. Especially in the post season.

Unpowered grass site

Liked Decent size pitches, once you find them. Not on grass, more dry earth.

Disliked It would have been nice to know there was no card machines working in the shop, bar or restaurant BEFORE we got there, or at the very least at check in so we could have found some cash.

A very complicated lay out, not easy to find your pitch.

Liked Great site in a great location. Pool is lovely with a great bar. Shop has a few items such as essentials but could be made much better as there are no shops local.
Pitches were a good size with adequate showers and toilets.

Disliked Would be good to have a gate to get to the river where the free ferry goes from

Local attractions

Right across the river is the UNESCO-listed ancient Old Town of Avignon, filled with well-preserved medieval ramparts, the famed palatial papal home Palais des Papes, Pont d’Avignon, and the 12th-century cathedral Notre Dame des Doms. Also around these parts are Côtes du Rhône vineyards: take a wine-tasting tour and learn how vintners cultivate their crops and concoct their quaffable vins; or for a less boozy intro to the area, just take a bike and cycle around these scenic lands through many a pretty Provençal village. Horse riding and hiking in the Cévennes mountains are within easy reach too, as are La Ferme aux Crocodiles reptile farm and Barben Zoo, both around 70 kilometres from the site in opposite directions.
