What customers say

Fab family spot near the lake! Great for swims & play, plus kids' activities. Staff are a legend, and sites are clean. A few grumbles about pitch markers, sun, slow check-in, and dodgy WiFi. One bloke got lost thanks to roadworks and no one picking up.

Powered grass and earth site

Liked Prestige spots were spacious compared to municipal campgrounds
More shade, more grass.
Showers and toilets were plentiful and clean.
Lots of stuff to do for kids!
Small lake was GREAT for hot days, even if a there was some bonus algae.
The municipal pool directly across the street offered another swim option, though hours were more limited (closed for a long lunch and lessons).
The staff were really kind and accommodating.

Powered grass and earth site

Liked We stayed for one night whilst travelling between sites, wished we stayed longer. Good location with the village centre 3 minute walk away. Lots of activities onsite to keep children entertained. A lovely lake to swim and play in with a small beach to relax on. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Disliked If being picky, boundary pitches could be better marked!

Liked Lovely family site with lots of activities for kids - great pool. Well placed for overnight stop.

Disliked We were unaware the electric hook up was not the traditional camping style as you needed a travel adapter (continental power lead with two pins) so we were unable to use power.

Liked Nothing

Disliked Unable to find the site, despite sat nav and directions, road closed in the village,
attempted to phone the number for the site, but with no reply and no return call.
No choice having traveled 7 hours from the ferry to continue my journey for another 2 and a half hours to my destination arriving late at night.

Local attractions

The lake on site isn’t the only one around here – in fact, there are lots of them, and they’ve had a huge influence on the area’s life and culture. You can find out all about the lakes' nature and heritage at Maison des Étangs (10 minutes’ drive), and/or follow the waymarked 22-kilometre Route des Étangs to see them for yourselves by bike or car. More nature-themed outings nearby might take you to the Pole Stars De Nançay planetarium (25 minutes), to hire canoes or kayaks for a paddle down the Loire (50 minutes) or to meet a whole menagerie of marvellous animals at ZooParc de Beauval (an hour). Of course, the Loire Valley is well known for its châteaux – there are many to choose from, but a couple of favourites are the huge Château de Chambord (45 minutes) and Royal Château of Blois (55 minutes). For more historic sights, plus museums and good eats, aim for Orléans (45 minutes) and Bourges (55 minutes).
