- On the Côtes d'Armor with spectacular sea views
- Direct access to two sandy beaches
- Heated pool, paddling pool and fishing on site
Just look at that beach… This sandy Breton stretch is Fresnaye on Brittany's Côtes d'Armor – splendid sea views of which are at Camping le Châtelet 500 metres from the sands.
Not quite enough crumbly coastal stuff for you? The campsite also has direct access to a coastal path and the sandy beach of La Pissotte (300 metres), and is close to another five beaches in the nearby town of Saint Cast le Guildo. More classic Breton coast is at the splendid old fishing city of Saint-Malo less than half an hour's drive away.
As you'd expect from a campsite so close to the coast, spectacular sea views are also a feature at Camping le Châtelet: the site bar even overlooks the famed Brittany landmark of Fort-la-Latte…Fishing is allowed on the pond bordering the site if you'd like to land a tiny dip into Brittany's fishing and maritime heritage for yourself.
Facilities on site include a heated indoor pool, a heated paddling pool, a play area, wifi and a grocery shop; entertainment is arranged for guests in high season. Eats are sorted too at that bar with splendid coastal views, which serves meals to take away or have among the roomy seating area.

Local attractions
We may have mentioned that Camping le Châtelet is in splendid setting for Brittany beaches… as well as old fishing ports, coastal hikes and the old centre of Saint-Malo within 30 minutes' drive.
The campsite's locale on the Emerald Coast is about ten minutes' walk from the shops, restaurants and bars of St Cast/Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, the site's local town and a seaside spot with smart villas and seashell collecting at the Baie de la Fresnaie.
From St Cast, those who haven't gorged too much on a lunch of Brittany seafood can hike to the esteemed Cap Fréhel lighthouse within a few hours. The lighthouse is (obvs) on the Cap Fréhel, a beau spot that we insist should be a mission for at least a few days for its spectacular scenery, wildlife and walking; we also insist on a trip across the drawbridge to the excellent fourteenth century castle Fort La Latte.
Another must in the area is the old fishing city of Saint-Malo, with its ancient walls, citadel, Grand Aquarium and many, many opps to guzzle seafood.
