Wells Gray Golf Resort and RV Park

- Peaceful park on the banks of Hemp Creek, 34km from Clearwater
- Close to lots of outdoor activities in Wells Gray Provincial Park
- Golf course, disc golf and hot mineral pool on site
Park up, then tee off – one of the most popular features at Wells Gray Golf Resort and RV Park is its challenging nine-hole (par 70) golf course; if you’re up for a game, bring your clubs along or hire them at the clubhouse along with pushcarts or electric carts. Not yet up there with the required skills? There’s also an 18-hole disc golf (or frisbee golf) course, which is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Not actually into golfing at all (gasp)? No problem – there’s plenty more at this park on the banks of Hemp Creek: after all, you’re in Wells Gray Provincial Park, one of the largest parks in British Columbia and renowned for its lakes and waterfalls. Days of hiking, horse riding, fishing and watersports can all be had in the surrounding wilderness area, and followed up with a restorative soak in the mineral lake (said to have health benefits, should you need an excuse to wallow a little longer).
It’s a half-hour drive from the nearest town, Clearwater, so it’s a good idea to stock up on supplies at the supermarket as you pass. That way, you’ll be all set for outdoor meals cooked up over one of the park’s firepits and served up on a picnic table. Larger gatherings can convene at the communal campfire area or in the party gazebo.
