  • Golf and watersports five minutes' drive; Dunoon 10 minutes
  • Sheltered hot tub, kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom for each pod
Could it be the word ‘beach’ that piqued your interest here? Beach House Pods is an apt name indeed for this Argyll site – it’s a mere minute’s walk from here to the beach in the village of Inellan, on the shores of the Firth of Clyde. Bring your kayaks, paddleboards and swimming gear for adventures in and on the water, come armed with buckets and spades for days on the sand, or pack your walking boots or bikes for jaunts through the local scenery. You might like to stash some binoculars in your luggage too, to give you a closer view of the seals that often hang out by the local lighthouse. Such a fine location is a bit of a luxury in itself, but the glamping pods here are just as excellent as their setting. Each one is kitted out with a kingsize bed, a sofa bed, a TV, heating and an ensuite bathroom as well as a well-equipped kitchen area with cooker/microwave and fridge/freezer. The real highlight, though, sits outside the pod – your own private hot tub, where you can bubble away in the fresh air sheltered by a pergola with mood lighting for that extra little touch of indulgence (just the thing after a long day out exploring the area…). Of course, it could be that what you need first after your day out is a good feed, so it’s most convenient that it’s only about a 15-minute walk along the shore to the village’s pubs. For outings further afield, there are handy bus stops just outside the site.
