Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Peaceful, friendly,
Facilities were perfect for what was needed,
The goats always came for a chat when we were around. Access to a firepit and a power point in a shelter.
The views and sounds of nature and farm animals made it feel like a nice escape from general day to day.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Fantastic value. On a working farm. Owners are extremely friendly and put a lot of effort into keeping the toilets and shower spotless. Cars parked in close car park so no pitching by your tent as its a small site. I think 6 tents but spread out well. I motorcycle camped which worked well for me. Lovely and peaceful. No kids. No music. No smokey fire pits. Microwave and kettle is something you don’t usually get. Free shower. Nice views across the farm.
Lovely owners.

Disliked Nothing.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked A small, lovely campsite with a really peaceful atmosphere. The facilities were very clean and well looked after, and the site itself was nice and quiet. Being on a working farm gives it a lot of charm, and the friendly hosts made us feel really welcome. A great spot for a relaxing stay.

Liked Great facilities here. Kettle, microwave and fridge. Small well maintained field with great views. Clean, proper toilet and soon to be installed shower, I was told. Nice little village with a co op in walking distance.
Friendly owner and farm animals.
Use of fire pit/bbq and benches.
Couldn’t fault it.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Great to stay on a working farm, with lots of animals around. Great to have a kettle, microwave and fridge to use. Picnic table was good for eating, especially as a walker with no chairs or tables!

Disliked No showers, but I knew that when booking.

Local attractions

Scoot off to the coast armed with your bucket and spade, because there are plenty of sandy stretches near to this site. There are seven miles of that golden stuff at Brean beach (35 minutes’ drive), with kitesurfing, sailing and windsurfing for those of you looking to dabble in some watersports. There's more scope for sandcastle building at Weston-super-Mare beach (half an hour) and Brean Down (45 minutes) too, with its pretty, natural pier. Looking to order some wildlife with your holiday? Then, a couple of places you’ll want to add to your to-do list are Glastonbury Tor (25 minutes) and Exmoor National Park (55 minutes). They’ll soon get you walking away, as will a hike up Brent Knoll (15 minutes). For a lighter stroll and a shopping spree in one, there's the Clarks Village (25 minutes) outlet. For some of the traditional fun stuff like theme park rides and a water park, head onto Brean Leisure Park (half an hour). Wookey Hole Caves (45 minutes) has arcade games and miniature golf with tunnels and caves to explore afterwards, while Cheddar Gorge (35 minutes) is Britain’s biggest gorge with museums, rocksports and escape rooms.
