How about a relaxed bell tent camping experience combined with spectacular North Devon views? Get off grid and enjoy really dark skies for awesome star-gazing and gorgeous sunsets. Giddy Farm is a small, peaceful rural site set in the North Devon countryside but still has easy access to all the essentials. The site is a fantastic departure point for visiting the spectacular North Devon coast. Go kayaking or paddleboarding at Combe Martin (10 minutes’ drive); surf at Woolacombe (20 minutes), Croyde (25 minutes) or Saunton (25 minutes); or simply make the most of the sandy beaches, some of which are dog-friendly all year round. Adventure to Broadsands beach (10 minutes) if you are brave enough to take on the steps or go coasteering at Watermouth Harbour (10 minutes), then have a cup of tea in the boat-based café by the harbour. Giddy Farm is also great for holidays with the kids, with theme parks and animal encounters and a large range of outdoor activities all within easy reach. Ilfracombe (15 minutes) has a mix of land and water-based activities, from shopping and golf to beach days and Lundy boat trips. The spacious bell tents come equipped with mats, rugs and futon beds, and extra air beds can be added for kids (you’ll need to bring your own bedding though). Thoughtful extras include a barbecue and firepit (buy firewood on site), plus somewhere to sit outside, and a shared compost loo, hot shower and a washing-up station. Other communal facilities include a woodfired pizza oven and a spacious shelter to share with other guests. Your dogs get to come away with you too, but they must be kept under control as there is livestock in the surrounding fields. Loud music is not permitted.

The campground/park caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
At least one of the party members must be aged 25 or over.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Liked: What an amazing gem of a campsite to have found! Gina and Joe were so welcoming and helpful with anything you needed. The views were amazing, the hot power shower lovely and there was even a pizza oven! We had a fantastic few days thank you and will be back! Highly recommend Giddy Farm!

At Giddy Farm, it’s not just about the coast. The Tarka Trail (10 minutes’ drive) will take you through Exmoor and North Devon landscapes or you could take yourself on a mini historical tour of the National Trust’s Arlington Court (15 minutes) and the Marwood Hill Gardens (15 minutes). For kids, the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (10 minutes), Watermouth Castle and theme park (10 minutes) and animal encounters at Exmoor Zoo (15 minutes) are all in easy reach. They can get stuck into outdoor activities too, with horse-riding, clay pigeon shooting, off-road adventures, foot golf and slip and slide all being based nearby. Track down watersports, beach strolls or longer rambles over the South West Coast Path (10 minutes) too.
