  • Peaceful farm site on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula
  • Less than a mile from Mullion Cove and eight miles from Helston
  • A 15-minute walk to pubs, a chocolate factory and the village shop
What makes the Lizard Peninsula tick? Some point to its location as the most south-westerly point in Britain. For others, it's the vibrant local rocks (dark green in colour, veined with white and red). Whatever brings you here, the spectacular sunsets, comely coves and rural vistas certainly don't hurt… Located on the outskirts of Mullion, Far View is true to its name: the vistas are all about the greenery that stretches out for miles around. Fancy mixing up coast and country? With Mullion Cove under a mile away from base, this spot is handily placed for easy access to both. Guests have five acres of Cornish meadow to spread out in, with essentials such as toilets and showers taken care of on site. Human visitors share Far View with a number of permanent guests, including wallabies (you're welcome to go and see them up close), goats, horses, donkeys and guanaco. Dogs are welcome, but please bear in mind the presence of furry live-in residents if you bring them along. A 15-minute stroll takes guests up to Mullion village centre, which has two pubs, a couple of village shops, a fish and chip shop and (this being Kernow) a pasty shop. There's also a chocolate factory that can be reached within 10 minutes on foot: no oompa-loompas here, but there's plenty of scope to make friends with the in-house team of llamas.

What customers say

Great site, loads of space, cracking views, dead peaceful. Showers are mint, heaps of loos. Owners are top blokes, always checking in. Close to the coast, plus farm animals. Fire pits on offer. Most reckon they'll be back. Can get a bit windy, showers could be better placed.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Wow what a lil gem of a find. Originally booked for 3 nights but extended to 5.
This campsite has everything you need for basic camping & more…. Especially for the price.
Top end of the field overlooks the sea, amazing sunsets.
The facilities are basic but great, toilets, shower, nice hot running water, outdoor area to clean wet suits, fridges to store your fresh food, lockers, buy fresh eggs & Jayne (farmer) is a lovely lady who will bring a fire pit & logs for a very small price.
There’s also the added bonus of the horses, ponies, goats, baby cows, wallabies & more to see, feed & pet.
This is amazing for families, couples & even single campers like myself.
Great location 10/10

Disliked Absolutely nothing, I hope to return next year.

Highly recommend this site and will return when we visit that area again.

Disliked Two of the showers were a bit in the cool side, but that is reaching.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked We were delighted to return to Far View. The campsite was clean and peaceful, simple shower and toilet block offering hot water throughout the day, washing up stations fully equipped and hosts who were welcoming and dropped by daily. It was lovely to have the use of a fire pit and the small charge for wood was great. There was no litter on the site and good recycling facilities. The 10 o'clock noise request was kept by everyone. Far View is minutes away from beautiful beaches and lovely coastal walks. The shetland ponies, goats and donkeys are an added bonus.

Disliked Communal fridge and freezer spaces were limited especially when some campers stocked it up with provisions not requiring fridge space.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Excellent campsite - highly recommend.
Lots of space and clean facilities. Little details such as washing up liquid and sponges provided. Facilities were kept clean and well stocked. Access to fridges was a bonus.
Easy access to the coastal path.
Fantastic to have a separate ‘dog field’.
Free fire pits with the option to buy logs and kindling.
Friendly and welcoming owners who checked everything was ok.
Lovely to have the animals (goats, horses and a lovely donkey) to say hello to each morning!

Liked Very spacious camping. You can choose your pitch. Plenty of showers and toilets. Our kids enjoyed having animas so close by, you can feed the horsers with apples bought on site. Host available at any times. You can have a fire pit in the evenings and logs are available to buy on site too. 10pm is a quiet time. Pollurioan beach 30mins walking distance, very quiet, clean.

Local attractions

Mullion (15 minutes' walk) has activities such as swimming, canoeing, coasteering and surfing, and it's also possible to arrange horseback jaunts along the beach here. The well-signposted South West Coast path also skirts the village, and there's a swish spa in town for treatments should you overdo the exercise. To the north, there are plenty of activities in and around Helston (20 minutes' drive). Find out about local customs at the Museum of Cornish Life (20 minutes), or head to Kynance Cove (20 minutes) to see the stunning turquoise water, rock stacks and tidal beach alongside the South West Coast Path. To the east, green-fingered guests should make tracks to Trebah Garden (35 minutes), a 26-acre subtropical oasis with spectacular coastal backdrops. A little further east, Falmouth (40 minutes) has plenty to see and do as well, including the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII.
