How does waking up to coastal and rural views sound to you? Throw in proximity to gorgeous sandy beaches and being between pretty seaside spots like Praa Sands and Porthleven and you'll get an idea of what it's like to stay at Ashton Hill Camping, a family-friendly farm site under two miles from Cornwall's south coast. The site has views over the Lizard Peninsula, a few miles along the coast to the east. Praa Sands (five minutes' drive) is within easy reach for scenic swims too, with Porthleven roughly the same distance away in the other direction if you fancy a sheltered spot for paddleboarding and sea kayaking. This laidback working farm is basic in terms of facilities, but they've set up functional and well-maintained toilets and showers to see you through your stay. Ashton Hill Camping is also an easy half-mile journey from a local pub and an independent café for meals, drinks and light bites. Of course, you could very well do some cooking for yourself at Ashton Hill Camping, as the site allows barbecues and campfires. Dogs are welcome here, but please keep them on leads and on their best behaviour.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Size of the site, great views, showers were spot on, it was very quiet when we were there, enjoyed hearing the animals from the farm in the morning too, thanks for having us!
