What customers say
Brilliant, quiet spot on Lake Windermere with great views & spacious pitches. Friendly owners, good lake access for water sports. Basic but clean facilities. Campfires/BBQs okay. Can be boggy, signage could improve. Some thought it pricey for what's offered.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked This campsite is a brilliant location, right on the lake. Plenty of space and the groups weren't too close together. Quiet and back to basics.
It is, as advertised, off grid so there isn't a local shop. This helps keep the site quiet and peaceful - just plan ahead and its all good.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Fantastic location on the bank of Windermere with direct access to the lake. Facilities are basic but exactly as expected and it's got what you need (toilets, shower, sink, water).
The campsite had a lively but friendly atmosphere despite the rain!
Disliked Sheep poo absolutely everywhere. This isn't really a complaint, it's just the nature of the site and nobody needs to change it. Just prepare to hose down your tent after. When the ground is wet the flat spots get very boggy very easily, so if you happen to have a wet weekend you might need to camp on a bit of a slope.

The facilities on site were outstanding, plumbed toilets with toilets roll and a hot shower, what more could we ask for!

Liked Such a beautiful campsite right on the lake—quiet, peaceful, and the perfect spot for paddleboarding. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing stay. Tom, the owner, was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He even brought a fire pit and wood straight to our tent! We can’t wait to come back.
Disliked No shop in walking distance if you need something, but 5 minute drive to the local shell garage.
