Spacious, private sites with great views near Derwent Reservoir & a friendly pub. Facilities generally clean, though a bit basic/in development. Owners are lovely & helpful. A bit of road noise, but peaceful overall. Highly recommended!

The views were outstanding, but the campsite was disappointing.
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The family running the campsite were very friendly and helpful, and quick to resolve issues and keep us informed when a problem occurred with the water. The views from this campsite are incredible.
Disliked The pitches fit small tents, but not large tents. A 4 man tent is probably the max. The pitches have been designed so that you can drive your car / motorhome onto the pitch, but that means they've laid gravel, which means that it is hard to pitch on half the designated pitch, because you're wrestling with stones buried 5 cm underneath the ground. The site is right next to a main road with a lot of heavy traffic ALL through the night. So it is noisy all day and all night. There were also a number of people on the campsite smoking weed, which is unfortunate with young children around.
