Powered concrete slab caravan site

Liked Lovely clean site, toilet and showers immaculate. Owners super friendly and helpful, even popped to our van to give our grandson a sugar dummy lolly. Told us about the area ie local pub , tea room , walk to the beach.
Pitches are huge and level.

Liked The site was spotless, the owners very hospitable and welcoming!

A lovely little play area for younger children, toilets were always clean and the communal fridge/freezer and washing up area is perfect.
Will be returning ASAP.
Thankyou for a wonderful stay

Very popular

Disliked Pitches very close we had camper van an only just got a windbreaker up near our door having about 3ft around our van. the people next parked their car upto our windbreaker and then their tent.

Ladies toilets around the back maybe should have been ladies at the front when it’s dark. Had to wait 15mins for the use of one shower.

Had a little field as you drove in maybe have a little run for dog to do business. As not nice walking round the area near vans, caravans and tents for dog business and the lane leading had just small grass areas on front of houses. All fields are farmers fields so no actual areas for dogs to run an do business.

From the manager: Wow 🤩 sorry you didn’t like everything we love
The inconvenience of having to take your Dog for a walk is your responsibility,
there is some beautiful walks 5/10 minutes from camp site beach, old railway line, public footpaths, bridleways , roads/paths,
if you really wanted to let your dog lose in our garden you should have said ,
as I did invite you around for a bbq and drinks ,and when I come around to check everything is ok every day that’s a good time for you to tell me if there is something wrong ,😳

Liked Small site with plenty of pitch space.
Clean toilet/kitchen block
Close to Withernsea and Spurn Point.
Friendly/helpful staff
Fridge freezer and microwave availability.

Disliked Lacked WiFi facility, would be nice to have option of it on site as mobile signal is a bit hit and miss.
Only 2 showers available (one for ladies and one for men) and there is a charge to use them.

Liked Owners were away and left their sons and a lovely couple in charge. What a job they all do, so warm, welcoming and constantly go above and beyond.
The site itself isn’t big, but it’s perfect. Clean, well looked after, quiet and enjoyable. We had 4 kids in total in our group but after 2 days there was about 8 kids, all coming and going, playing, laughter, sun and fun.
We will without a doubt be back to visit but for longer. We cannot wait.

Liked 3rd time here and again didn't disappoint! Lovely owners Phil and Sue and the kids were fantastic during our stay! Everything is always being cleaned and kept on top of.
Great site, lovely toilet and shower facilities.
Beach 15 minute walk from site. Tesco/Aldi short journey in car.
The Plough pub is a nice one to visit - good burgers.

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Loved the location, we were pitched in the corner and had a beautiful view of fields. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The toilet block was cleaned very regularly. The site also feels very dog friendly, with clear rules about them being on leads but no ridiculous charges to take them!

Disliked That the shower was £1 for 5 minutes. It was less the cost that was an issue, more the fact that we didn't have any cash on us on arrival day. It did say this in the site description to be fair but we missed it, it just wasn't very convenient.

From the manager: Thank you for your review your welcome back anytime ,
PS always £1s in reception for next time thanks Phil and Sue

Local attractions

They’ve been watchful on the east coast ever since the Vikings arrived, and a recent, rather more chilling reminder of that can be explored at RAF Holmpton, five minutes’ drive away. Built out of tungsten-lined concrete and sunk deep into the earth, this nuclear bunker was originally purposed as an early warning station, but these days, happily, it’s a tourist attraction. The same goes for Fort Paull, 25 minutes away: once a Napoleonic fortress, it’s now home to regular military re-enactments, wartime guns and the only surviving example of a Blackburn Beverly aircraft. For walks and wildlife, on a peninsula sometimes called Yorkshire’s Land’s End, sally forth to Spurn Point and its Nature Reserve (15 minutes), a narrow strip where beaches and mudflats, dunes and lagoons mingle and make a welcome habitat for hordes of migrating birds. Just over an hour away, Bridlington offers total contrast, with family beaches and souped-up boat rides creating whoops of delight on the waves. You can plump for more sedate maritime experiences, like pleasure cruises and seabird safaris, kayak your way round the cliffs to see the puffins, or for inland adventures take the clifftop train to Sewerby Hall for Georgian and Edwardian interiors, pretty parklands and a zoo with a very talkative parrot. For encounters with underwater residents, Hull's aquarium, The Deep, always delivers, as do tours of the city's seafaring past in the Maritime Museum (half an hour).
