Golfing, going to the beach, or maybe getting out for a forest walk… it’s all going on around Gralyn's Caravan Park, a quiet little Suffolk site just outside the village of Eyke and 10 minutes’ drive from Woodbridge. From here it’s an easy amble to the trails of Rendlesham Forest, a 20-minute drive to the splendid Suffolk coast beaches at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, and a five-minute drive/15-minute bike ride to Sutton Hoo. Other top-notch activities can be had nearby too: there are two golf courses within a 10-minute drive, fishing lakes less than five minutes away and river boat trips around 25 minutes away. Plus, of course, that most excellent of rural activities: the pub trip, which can be had at the end of a mile-long half-hour walk. Back at base, there’s a warm welcome for all who’d like to come and stay here: the site has been set up to be accessible to less mobile guests, it’s got play areas for the smaller travellers and it’s happy to have dog companions along too.

Liked Spacious pitch, on a small family run site, just the type of site we love! Warm welcome and approachable throughout the stay, small well stocked shop for essentials, clean facilities.

Liked Great spaces and clean showers and toilets..the owner was really helpful and friendly. Good location near Sutton Hoo. There was a food place but we didn't use it.

Disliked Didn't dislike but fact that shower needed 20p pieces to run I wasn't aware of before. Probably in the description and I didn't clock. Not many showers but I didn't ever have a problem.

We will definitely return to this site on a regular basis now.

Liked Very welcoming reception
Host was so lovely
Site is small which is great for a quite stay.
Very well kept and plenty of toilets. Shower was perfect and washing up/ cooking facilities provided was a nice touch.
Shop on site for supplies and hot food available.

The Easter egg hunt for the children was amazing and included in our stay.

Disliked Nothing.

Liked A beautifully secluded campsite not too far from local activities with incredibly lovely owners. Nothing a problem and very helpful.
Toilet/ shower blocks very clean.
Well stocked shop and expansive play area that my son absolutely adored.

Liked Lovely and quiet, facilities were nice and clean and plenty of them. Onsite food van was handy and well priced. Kids loved the park. Friendly staff

Disliked Couldn’t really go for any walks with the kids due to being on a busy road.

Get over to Rendlesham Forest (45 minutes’ walk/five minutes’ drive), where you can amble along a three-mile trail with info about the woods' intriguing past. For a further delve into history, walk the walls of sprawling Framlingham Castle (20 minutes' drive) or head to Sutton Hoo estate (five minutes), home to a seventh-century royal burial ground, an exhibition of ancient finds and a full-sized Anglo-Saxon ship sculpture. Swing by in summer and you’ll often find history themed goings-on in progress around the estate or in the open-air theatre. Also very much worth a visit are the beaches of the Suffolk coast: it’ll take around 20 minutes to drive to arty Aldeburgh, or 25 minutes to Thorpeness to hire boats to paddle around the Peter Pan-themed lake.
