Picture this: you roll out of bed, wander outside onto the deck and casually lower yourself into the cool natural pool for a refreshing morning swim with gorgeous views over the green hills all around. Or perhaps you’re more into the idea of watching the sun go down while you sip a glass of wine and dangle your feet in that same fresh water… Either way, if you’re into the idea of having a natural pool right outside your door, you need to book yourselves in for a stay at Marsh End Cottage, a rural Worcestershire site about 10 minutes’ drive from Tenbury Wells. Glamping stays are in the gorgeous wooden Pyrapod, which has been cleverly crafted with a full-length window to help guests make the most of the fabulous views over the Teme Valley. The natural swimming pool is right outside the pod, with a jetty and steps for easy getting in and out. Extra pampering is available in the nearby wood-fired hot tub and sauna barn – or you may just choose to chill out on your poolside deck, which has a covered outdoor sofa, a table and a firepit. Everything inside has been set up with a touch of luxury in mind – the pod has underfloor heating, a woodburning stove, comfy bedding and space for either relaxation or work (with high-speed wifi for those doing the digital nomad thing). Modern shower and toilet facilities are a short walk away. Taking it slow is the order of the day around here – you can stroll on paths from the pod into the surrounding countryside, looking out for wildlife or perhaps heading to the local pub (two miles away). Castles, gardens and walking areas aplenty are also around for your days out.
