What customers say
A super clean, chill spot with great facilities and lovely owners. Set amidst beautiful scenery with fishing lakes. Some guests found a specific owner's attitude a bit off, dog options limited, and shower/toilet access a tad pricey/fiddly. Perfect for a quiet escape.

One of the cleanest independent sites we have stayed on.
Powered grass site
Liked Lovely flat pitches with plenty of room. The site was immaculately kept with spotlessly clean toilets, clearly a lot of personal pride taken in the site from the family. Nice to walk round the small fishing lakes on the site. There is a small charge for electric showers but otherwise there is plenty of hot water in the toilet block and washing up area. Lovely and friendly greeting from the owner.
Disliked Slight road noise which was the only reason I didn't score 10.

Liked Beautifully kept side, everything was spotless & manicured to perfection
Disliked Overly restrictive rules that only become apparent upon arrival.
Dogs are welcome but you're not allowed to walk them on site.

No Cycling (This was particularly disappointing for my daughter)

Liked Pitches were very large and had an amazing view over a wild field and the hills . Very relaxed campsite with two beautiful fishing lakes where we fished and had a picnic. Close to some lovely sightseeing spots and other fun activities. Very clean and well kept including bathrooms. The family who run it do an amazing job of keeping on top of the pitches and grass areas and we’re so lovelu and welcoming and so helpful we absolutely loved our stay . Would highly recommend. Ignore the negative reviews I cannot understand where they came from . You have to pay 50 p per token for showers but get money back if you don’t use them. You also pay £5 for keys to the toilets deposit which you get back . Just need to remember to take cash for them.
No negatives at all well done to the family as they run this campsite with a lovely family vibe and come and take the time to chat to you: no they don’t allow ball games near caravans which I completely agree with as no one wants their caravans smashed by ball but they were flexible with us having fun and we have no complaint at all. Just need to be respectful which I Completley agree with. An ice cream van comes daily. Please take this positive review as one of the best campsites I’ve stayed at and the checking in and out times are amazing too and don’t happen at other campsites.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Lovely site, extremely well maintained, the people running the site were lovely, very helpful. Although some people say the sites not very dog friendly we found our dogs very welcomed.
Disliked Would have been nice to be able to have the dogs at the lake, but we get the logic to why it’s a rule.

Liked Staff were nice very clean quiet site ideal mainly for ppl with no children at all
Disliked The fact that this is not child friendly the children were told they couldn’t ride there bikes or play ball they had to sit by pitch all day board as there was nothing on site for them to do

Liked Peaceful site, well kept, level grass pitch. Good TV signal.
Disliked We booked with the intention that my husband would fish and I would sit with him, with our dog, as we have done on all other sites. But on arrival, we were told dogs aren't allowed near the lakes. This isn't stated on the website or Pitchup. Also, you have to leave the site to walk your dog along a fairly busy B road, there are no dog walking facilities on site.
