Dip into the nature of Northamptonshire at Freestone Farm – pitches at this small and peaceful site just outside Irthlingborough are part of a working family farm where you can chill out on a short break surrounded by open farmland and natural landscapes. As it’s a pop-up site, things are very simple here, with just portable toilets on the facilities front (please note there are no showers and the site has no hot water supply). You will, however, be able to buy eggs laid by the resident hens for a tasty breakfast fry-up. For all the other bits you need for your meals, there are supermarkets a mile away in Irthlingborough. This is a lovely spot for gentle rural walks – it’s very close to the Stanwick Lakes Nature Reserve and Heritage Site and to Irthlingborough Lakes And Meadows, both great locations for waterside walks. You can also pick up the East Northamptonshire Greenway for longer walks, perhaps to Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre or The Watermill Tearoom and Restaurant. Other activities nearby include golf, canoeing and cycling, and there’s an activity centre a few minutes’ walk away offering things like climbing, archery and a high ropes course. Whatever you choose to get up to, make sure you’re back in time for sunset – they’re often rather spectacular at this west-facing site.

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
There is no reception building on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
