What customers say
Cosy, quiet spot behind a pub with great grub & a warm welcome. Spacious, level pitches, water/waste. Metered power an extra. Ideal for self-contained units, though loos would be a bonus for some. Handy base for exploring.

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Just had our first trip of year here. Nice pitches. Will be nicer in summer ! Great boozer & friendly, helpful staff. Nice easy walk to town.
Disliked Limited pub opening times after Sunday. Our electric (token) had run out overnight on our last night. Sure we could have phoned for more, but were heading home anyway. Will just buy more next time. Won’t put us off.
A nice local stay for us !

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Great little location behind a proper country pub, water and waste onsite, lots to do in local areas. Would recommend wolds wildlife park. Only down the road. Can hear the lions from the site. Had food in the pub one evening. Hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was an issue for them.

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked I don’t like leaving positive reviews on this site! As it encourages people to book making it more difficult for me to book 🥹 this site is a true gem, me the wife and our Frenchie absolutely adore this site, although on this occasion we didn’t manage to get there ( work commitments 🙄) we’ve been numerous times before, granted there’s no toilet / shower facilities but this is more than reflected in the price and is made clear before booking, the pub more than makes up for the lack of facilities, the food is amazing, the staff are welcoming and friendly with a great selection of beverages 👍 we’d recommend the breakfast as well which is delivered to your van, awesome touring site and a short walk into Horncastle with its many bars and restaurants 👌👍

A great stop. We’ll be back. Great food and drink in a friendly pub
Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked I did not like the idea of the way the electricity worked but after experiencing it , what a fab idea. It’s about 8 pounds a night for a motor home to heat water and the van, and power the rest of the stuff .Whatever you don’t spend is refunded. The hosts are warm funny and super helpful. The food is fresh and prepared well. Refreshing to have a drink or two, a super feed the walk 1 minute to your van. The site is clean and well managed I’ve paid that much before to sit in a field with no services at all.

Value for money pitch for a weekend
Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Gem of a place for a weekend getaway right behind the pub. Very good communication beforehand, very friendly check in. Only a small amount of pitches but all very well spaced out and very clean. Has the usual facilities for rubbish, water and elson point. Does not have showers and toilets but was aware of this before hand and have a self services motorhome. Nothing to dislike. Disappointed we were unable to try the restaurant however, understand it is December and xmas parties are booked. We will definitely try again in the future. Value for money.
