What customers say
Cracking views & location for exploring the Peak District! Campers love the spotless facilities, friendly owners & peaceful vibe. A bit exposed for some, but upgrades are happening. Animal spotting's a hit!

Fantastic peaceful site. Great for families.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The location is amazing and very clean. Lots of toilets (and toilet paper). Really liked that there was washing up liquid and toiletries in case you had forgotten any.
Loved that there were sheep, donkeys and a horse (that went down very well with the children). It was also very peaceful and liked that noise after 10pm was minimal.
Disliked Didn’t dislike anything but an extra indoor sink with hot water for washing would have been good (the hot water also ran out by the time it was my turn in the dishes queue) but I liked that there was a cushioned bench to sit and queue in comfort. Would also have been nice if there were soft drinks and ice lollies available to purchase (maybe an honesty box) as it was so hot when we stayed and a fair trek from the shop. But these are absolute minor things and we will definitely be back.

Disliked It was bank holiday weekend and lots of bookings so there were a lot of people to use the facilities so sometimes a wait

Campsite away from it all.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked An excellent campsite, away from civilisation, with a splendid view over the nearby hills. The owner clearly puts a lot of work to keep the facilities topped up and clean.
Disliked On peak days such as bank holidays, the facilities get overcrowded and there are queues. A few more washing sinks and portacabins would be great.

Fab find. Great for solo travellers with dogs.
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Look forward to staying here again. It's in an easy to find spot, in the heart of all that the area has to offer. There are great walks straight from the site itself (dog suitable) as well as an abundance a short drive away.
There are ample, very clean facilities. Showers were really decent. Also really easy to use the facilities if you are travelling solo with a dog and do not wish to leave them unattended. Large cubicles. Stunning views all round and incredibly quiet and peaceful. 10/10.
Disliked A few more bins/recycling would be beneficial, however it was bank holiday weekend.
For the vanners - there is very little flat ground, however is perfectly fine with blocks.
