What customers say
Cracking views & location for exploring the Peak District! Campers love the spotless facilities, friendly owners & peaceful vibe. A bit exposed for some, but upgrades are happening. Animal spotting's a hit!

A perfect little site where you can just roll up, set-up and enjoy.
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked The facilities. They were immaculate. Plenty of pitch space. Wonderful views.
Disliked There's always one family that have to spoil it for others. Up until 2 am, blazing fire. Certainly not the site owners problem, as they have plenty of signs up saying 'Respect fellow campers and no noise after 10pm.

Liked Quiet and a great sunset. Walking straight from the site to some fantastic hills. The Devonshire pub in the village is welcoming and an easy walk.

Level pitches, quiet surroundings.
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Nice location in peak forest. Standard flat grass pitch. Donkeys on site , nice for kids. And wash/toilet facilities. £25 relatively simpler setup but would stay again. Had 4 seasons in one day which made for a fun stay.
Disliked Some noise and heavy smoke from firepit blowing our way. Cough.

Pretty good
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Not many in campsite this early in the season so able to get a level pitch, but the main field is sloping. Toilets and Showers were fine
Disliked Bit of a farmyard smell. Quite exposed to the wind.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Very easy to get to by car. No staff on-site, which I liked as the process was simple. You can freely choose your spot and park your car right next to your tent.
Two large grass fields with plenty of personal space. The ground is mostly flat, with one side is a bit sloped.
Good local attractions nearby, though we enjoyed the site so much we didn't leave.
Several horses stayed on the farm next door. Very quiet and peaceful.
Strong mobile phone signal.
There are two toilets and two showers at the main building by the entrance, with another two toilets and washing sinks conveniently located near the pitches. All facilities were clean, in good condition, and well-stocked with toilet paper.
A fridge is also available, though we didn't need to use it.
Disliked Since it relies on self-discipline, some campers didn't flush the toilets, which was quite annoying.
Despite that, we were very satisfied with the stay and will definitely come back again!
