Lovely pub within walking distance, we didn’t eat there, but the food looked good! The showers take 50p coins, we were worried that the time would run out, but it’s ample time to shower and wash hair.

Couldn't work out which way round I was meant to park the van. On the second day another camper explained I'd got it the wrong way and I felt obliged to turn it. Would've been easier if the owner had explained the layout on arrival.

WalksΔεν μου άρεσε: Jobs worth created by Pitchup, beautiful pitches by river, not allowed to park in them because Pitchup allocates the pitch, ours right in front of the toilets. You guessed it, no other visitors during our stay, so could have parked anywhere.
If you have a a European motor home, your grey waste won't work unless it's at least 10m long, to make this work I had to park reversed in, if you park nose in you can't use your waste and you sit looking at the toilets.this I refused to do, and caused somewhat of a disagreement.

However we would like to point out the following.
You had booked a super pitch for your stay and there were 5 other customers on super pitches during your stay, unfortunately there are only 3 super pitches that back onto the river two of which were utilised, all other pitches that were available at the time of your booking were not super pitches, therefore not having direct hookup to water waste or electric. The site is a small site and the pitch you were on is only 25 meters from the river.
We have had many European/non European motorhomes on site and none of them have struggled to hook up to the water waste until now, the staff member that was onsite at the time tried to give you some advice on how to park your vehicle so that your 2 and half meter hose would fit, there was no disagreement on our part, only advice.
I hope this didn't affect your stay too much, and we hope to see you again in the future.

We were a late arrival however all the information had been left out for us, with contact numbers available if there was any issues. Facilities were good and kept clean. Nice pub just across the bridge which was very convenient. Pitch itself was made up of bark with grass touring pitch. Handy outdoor tap to the side of the toilet block to clean dogs paws. WiFi worked at pitch and had no issues with it

The shower blocks were spotless and modern, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. It was so peaceful at night. Strong WiFi. We'd give it six stars if we could! Highly recommend. Pub is a small walk around the corner. We came back for another night because we had to cut out journey short and the guys helped us out with a pitch.

Toilet block was clean showers were hot, your not packed in like sardines. Nice little pub nearby that we took refuge in when the rains came in. Some campers took a dip in the river.
Other reviews are correct about 50p for a shower, but if you don’t have a 50p coin go speak to the staff they will sort you out.
There was a bit of noise from the road behind but most people were up and about early making the most of there days in the lakes anyway.

Thank you for the 8 star review, it is much appreciated, however we feel we must point out the following.
It does state on all our booking platforms that the showers cost 50p and approximately last 10 mins, this is to avoid customers queuing up when the campsite is full.
All customers are briefed on arrival and are informed which pitch number they are on and what patch of grass is theres to utilise, there is no right or wrong way to park your vehicle it is entirely up to you, as per your needs, as long is it is not parked on the grassed area, some people like to reverse others like to nosy park so they are facing the river, and depending on how long the cables that customers have for electric hookup and water waste, also depends on how customers like to park.
There is a member on staff on site all day everyday, if you were unsure of how to park your vehicle you could have asked a member of staff and they would have gladly helped assist you in your decision.
