Good facilities, quiet site, lots of room, lots for the kids to do, close to Nottingham

The pitches are well maintained and there was lots of space for children to play.

This site is heavily advertised with access to the outdoor adventure and whilst the is the adventure centre across the road, if you child is under 1.3m tall there is hardly anything they are allowed to go on. Even the ‘children’s lagoon wipeout’ clearly sized for children is not accessible! And the staff let us pay, dress in wetsuits & floats and listen to the safety briefing for it before then telling the children “actually you can’t go on the inflatable”.
The children were so disappointed and due to the lack of accessible water activities we left the site a day early. RotherValley in sheffield has much bigger and better facilities so which children can access and so we will go there in future.
Showers blocks were filthy, water runs for 5 seconds per press of button so it’s difficult to shower -use the disabled one which doesn’t have this issue.

Stayed in camping Pod, this was clean with electricity which was a bonus. Toilet facilities and showers were close by and cleaned daily. Had no issues with them considering it is communal showers and toilets, kept clean and tidy. Also pot washing facilities which I didn't expect. Activities within close walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Very little. Park facilities for kids. Nothing else.

Our pitch was next to the road, separated by trees but it sounded like we were parked on the side of the M6. Lorries trundled down the road at all hours. Constant flow of cars and motor bikes (noisy motor bikes) Had trouble sleeping.
Not sure if you can request a pitch away from the road, but check before you book.
Skip emptying at 7:30am. No consideration for young kids in bed.
I wouldn’t recommend this site.

The pitch we eventually got on an empty field due to aggressive and dark behaviour from a topless rude man like liked to say F**k alot!

The saddest thing was the staff didn't want to say anything to rude man because his wife was nice.luckily we were left alone only after they told us to.move our tents further apart on an empty field, I left after one night and had 2 nights booked! Says it all really!

Lovely setting and ideally located for the water park activities.

Overall the campsite was nice, plenty of room for your tent, car etc and a reasonably flat ground. We went outside of school holidays so your experience may vary.

** The Toilets **
The toilets and toilet block were DISGUSTING for the whole 4-5 days we were there. For the time I was there I saw a cleaner twice at around 9-10am. She was stood around waiting saying she was waiting for a cubicle to be free so she could clean it...this is whilst stood infront of a filthy row of sinks.

I did go into a toilet just after the 'clean' which must have consisted of a light wipe of the seat and a mop of the floor. You know when you haven't cleaned your toilet in a few weeks and there is pubes and small bits of toilet roll covered in shit at the back of the seat...yeah just like that.

** The Showers **
I didn't experience much of the old block cos that was 20x's worse than the 'new' block. But the showers ran for about 2-3 seconds after pressing the button. It seemed to be a coin flip if you would get blasted by scalding hot water or cold...I assume this is by design so people wont eat into your profit margins.

** The shop **
Only went once. Opening hours were sporadic.

** The noise **
Fortunately we didn't experience much noise in the night, unlike most people. There was group of 15-17 years olds (mixed) that turned up that seemed to quieten down at around 10:30. So, if you guys are reading this, thanks for being respectful. Because there was 0 night staff anywhere to be seen. After the shop has shut you are on your own.

** Advice to management **
I felt like you don't really want to run a campsite and you are just riding on the success of The National Water Sports Centre next door. This could be a 10/10 campsite if you just sorted out the basics and gave a 'crap'. If you don't want to do that then just sell it for someone who knows what they are doing.

Also sack your cleaning crew, the toilets need to be cleaned at least once a day mid-day and with a PROPER deep clean in the evening. You should be embarrassed

Unfortunately this was a horrible camping experience! The site allows to many people on. You are tent to tent! Shower blocks not clean not enough sinks. Shops expensive yet not a lot stocked. Even the WiFi! Expensive and poor signal

Unfortunately it was so busy and crowded on our visit. People was very loud till round 3am on our first night was more quite on the second night but the facility’s was disgusting! The activities was over priced and not well planned or managed. Such a shame waste of money and will not be returning here again.
