Beautiful setting, lovely lake. Really enjoyed being able to take our paddle board out on the lake during our stay. Nice and clean facilities too. Being able to have a campfire in the lovely fire pits was also a bonus.

Would have been nice to have a few more toilets and/or somewhere to clean your teeth and wash/get ready. There were often queues for the toilets and only cold water so I did not want to take up one of only two toilets cleaning my face or teeth and generally getting ready.

The site has peaceful surroundings and beautiful lakes. There are an abundance of level pitches and for the most part the site is clean and well-maintained.

The shower and toilet block is poor. These are essentially 'posh' portaloos, which are now aging. They are generally clean, but the ceilings are covered in dead flies and the lighting is unreliable; guests may need to shower by torchlight. The sinks are impractically small and block has been set on an unlevel base, such that water pools on the shower floors. Guests are asked to sweep out the water themselves. There are only two showers and three toilets, resulting in frequent queues. This might all be forgiveable in a budget campsite, but given this site's premium price-point the facilities leave something to be desired.

Lovely campsite - small and not over run with ‘stuff’ like some get. Been several times. Good pitch sizes. Nice playing field for kids. Amazing lake for paddle boarding; fantastic dog field; nice walk to pub; clean showers and toilets

They need to regularly clear the lake - once a day send someone round with a net and it would be so much more appealing for swimmers and younger children who I’d fear may get caught in the reeds. My friends regularly swim in lakes but even they were slightly out off by the amount of debris. Also odd you can’t pre book paddle boards nor life jackets yet they were all booked out yet scattered/just abandoned with no one collecting them - as it has now gotten busier over the years it needs sleeker system in place to pre book with your stay. Also need wasp traps - totally over run with them which sounds petty but was pretty annoying and could be easily solved with them scattered about. Final thing is cafe - absolutely beautiful but odd hours (we went for a coffee at 330 and it was shut) and odd days - surely someone could run it daily 830 - 5 during August or weekends at least? Cocktails in the evening (pub was heaving) etc - missing a trick.

Fun lake for paddle boarding, really friendly staff, good pub 5 minutes walk.

Just minus 1 star because there is only 3 toilets and 2 showers for the whole site and had to often spend time queuing.

We had a lovely stay. It was a welcoming, friendly site with clean facilities, showers and toilets and flat pitches.

The lake was a real bonus, set in beautiful surroundings, great for the whole family to get out on our Kayak. A one hour walk to the beach was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

All in all, I’d definitely recommend it to friends.

The only downside was the lack of showers and toilets. The site could really do with twice as many.

Beautiful surroundings, small friendly site, lake is great. Close to the beaches.

Not enough toilets and showers for the number of pitches so having to wait to use amenities frequently especially at busier times of the day.
