We are busy this weekend with Rosedale Show being a big draw, lots of things to watch in the most beautiful village of Rosedale Abbey. Tearooms, pubs, walks and even the word renowned Gilles Jones Glassmaker.

Delighted to read your review and see your stunning photos of your stay in one of our 3 bell tents. I think you've covered everything and you did have the bonus of some sunshine!

We introduced the tents a couple of years ago and everyone loves to come and have a bit of rest and relaxation, you can even book in at the Tearooms for breakfast in the village if you don't fancy the washing up!

We have a lady who came last weekend with just her and the dog along with a pile of reading and her favourite snacks! Bliss!

We're glad you found it clean and tidy, our team work very hard to maintain their high standards and this sometimes proves a challenge. If you had mentioned your dislike to the wardens they could have explained our reasoning for running our site this way. We decided to close the facilities building to allow our staff time to clean effectively without being interrupted and without the fear of someone tripping over the hoover, hose or bucket, stepping over the rolled up carpets, slipping on the freshly washed floor or popping in to ask if we have found their odd sock!. Whilst our staff are instructed to chat and welcome our guests they do not like to do it with a bottle of bleach or even worse a toilet brush in their hand! So to be fair to everyone we close, last entry 10.45, you need to check out at 11 anyway and we re-open them in time for the new arrivals at 1pm. They then remain open and accessible until the following day at 11am. There are public toilets in the village if needed and most units now have their own facilities in the event of an emergency.

The closure is mentioned and explained in the booking confirmation so if it was unsuitable we would have refunded your deposit and allowed you to book somewhere that had 24 hour access to facilities.
We are always happy to answer any questions you might have, please do check that the site you are booking will meet your needs, it's so important for you and the site!

We supply the pitch number and site information in an email with the added offer of calling in to Reception to collect those details if folk prefer. Needless to say 99.9% prefer to arrive, head straight to their pitch and get set up. Our wardens are on site available to help if necessary and will call in and see you whilst you are here if they see you.

If you'd called in to Reception on arrival we would have given you the same welcome and supplied your pitch number and a copy of the information to you in a paper format. It's hard knowing each individual preference to receive information but we do let you know that an email will be sent when we confirm your booking. Such a shame you never rang to let us know you would have preferred to arrive, park up, wait in Reception, allow us to attend to your arrival and show you to your pitch. Neither did you provide any feedback to our staff whilst you were on site, it's always useful to hear your thoughts and allowing us to explain rather than taking to a public review.

Did you visit the unisex showers and toilets through the laundry area? in addition to the ladies and gents sections as you enter the building there is a sign to show you to the unisex facilities towards the back. Many people miss them and it is mentioned in the arrival information emailed to you but maybe you didn't read that far if you didn't like the site information being emailed. We could have shown you where they were if you had come to Reception.

Caravan Parks, us included, are constantly trying to evolve to provide a quality site to an ever changing demographic and we strive to please all of our customers. Always, always, always do your research to check that the site you are paying for will meet your expectations. We list as much information on the Pitch Up details and are happy to take special requests and answer questions over the phone. If the site isn't suitable then keep scrolling as there are thousands of sites offering a great service for the money you pay.
