This is the first time we have taken our dog Max. He says a big positive woof for the dog walks around the site. A perfect 40 minute walk around the perimeter and through fields for a morning constitutional - brilliant well maintained green paths.

Unbeliebt: Not the campsites fault however network rail were doing work across from the campsite ALL night from Friday morning to Sunday. We were kept awake by diggers drills, chainsaws and heavy machinery. The staff never once came to earn us or explain what was going on. If we had been told we wouldn't have stayed the tree nights as it was really awful and scary for the kids. Due to the lack of acknowledgement from the site who apparently pride themselves on their quite policy, we wouldn't stay again.

I am so sorry you were disturbed by Network Rail's noise during your stay. We have been too as we live here too and we do indeed pride ourselves on being a quiet site and do all we can to create this.We have and had done everything to try to get Network Rail to schedule the work outside of school holiday time. As a very seasonal based business of camping and glamping in Scotland the majority of our guests stay over the summer months their timing is very disappointing.Network Rail gave a 2 month range of when they "might" be onsite and we had hoped this would fall into mid/late September rather than July/August and some nights have been noisier than others. This weekend past has been the busiest of our year on our campsite and the noisiest thanks to Network Rail.We refused access from our land as they wanted to set up machinery in the field next to the campsite. This would have been totally unacceptable and based on the noise created off site and when they come into work and leave, we are thankful we did this.I have tried to talk to guests, as has my husband, but catching everyone has been hard. I'm sorry we didn't manage to speak to you, I understand this may look like we didn't care, we do care and we are very upset and frankly feel utterly powerless in these circumstances to protect our customers precious holiday experience and the reputation of our own business that we have worked tirelessly over the years to create.I would invite you to contact Network Rail and express your upset with them too, we have made numerous complaints and are in daily communication with them. I understand they have essential works to complete but the scheduling couldn't have been worse for our guests and us.
Penalising us for something that is completely out of our control feels a little harsh.
