Nice big pitches, lots of space. Showers and toilets cleaned regularly throughout the day. Kids loved tots rave at nighttime and the pool. Great value for money.

On arrival the park was clean, spacious and relaxed. The staff were friendly everywhere we went. The park main complex has had some money spent on it recently, there’s a restaurant called Boarders which was lovely we all enjoyed our food. The arcade was great, small in comparison to others but we found it was enough to entertain our 2 and 5 year old enough with an array of games. The lady in the arcade went over and above to help and made sure our girls were happy. I liked that there was seating in the arcade and a bar for in the evening the parents can relax. They also served some meals in there too.
We went to the craft room and did some pottery, again staff were lovely and it was well set up for the different crafts they do there. The kids loved it.
We went swimming twice and really enjoyed it. They had a small shop in the entrance for swim toys and some armbands etc if you’ve forgotten them.
The children’s entertainment was in a bar upstairs, the room was smaller than other places I’ve been but seemed big enough for the amount of people. The room was much more dated compared to the other newly renovated areas. The children’s entertainment team were great, they really got the kids engaged.

The bar for children’s entertainment had a little shop in it for merchandise that seemed abit makeshift. It had some dodgy electrics exposed behind the till. On day one we had some warm weather and the chocolate behind the till was all melted. They could do with some AC.
We were originally booked for 7 nights but had to leave on day 3. Unfortunately the heavens opened and we woke up to puddles in our tent. It was re-waterproofed last year so the problem wasn’t the tent, it was the ground. We had 1 night of rain which shouldn’t really be an issue, however the ground turned into a bog. The water seeped into the tent from underneath. We had put an additional groundsheet down but still ended up in this wet mess. We had a good quality tent and set up, our carpets and everything were ruined. We couldn’t save it. With the weather report looking grim for the rest of the week we decided to abandon the holiday. With 2 young children there was little choice. When we tried to save the tent it was seeped in mud and water and started to rip. We had to bin it. I emailed the site with some feedback and advised them of this but there was no sympathy or anything. If you are camping here I’d really look at the pitch you are about to use, ours turned into a muddy mess within hours, there was no drainage.
The toilet / shower blocks were new and nice. However the showers were separate and although big and spacious had no sinks, so you can’t shower then do your teeth in a mirror. There were no benches for bags or small children to sit and wait. The toilets were fine, but the mirrors at the sinks were very low and all adults had to crouch to see in them. The tiles surrounding the toilet blocks are a slip hazard. It was like ice when wet. They are soo dangerous. On day one my fiancé slipped and it wasn’t raining, he must’ve had slightly wet shoes and he slipped twice. On the day we were leaving I walked our girls to the toilet and despite being careful I slipped with my 2 year old in my arms. Luckily she wasn’t injured but my hip took the brunt. I have fed this back to the site directly but be very careful. You would think given that it’s a shower/ toilet block that this would’ve had better planning. The same tiles are used outside the arcade so that is also a slip hazard.
Off site the town Silloth feels like it’s about 50 years behind. There’s not much going on there so if you’re used to a packed holiday with lots to do you may be disappointed. We were already wondering how to fill our week on day 2 but planned to take it slow and space out on site activities before the rain finished off our week early.

The staff was really friendly if approached.

We had an incident and my son needed medical attention, one of the first aider was rubbish and pretty much stood there, most of the help was from the people who were camping, there was no empathy and we were also kind of left to fend for ourselves for the rest of the holiday, i was camping as a single parent with a 9 year old. Called reception to say I might be a little late leaving and they knew why because they had the incident report, they just said they are fully booked and I need to get out in time and that these things happen but they will write a note about it. Considering my son went through my back windscreen of my car, there was no empathy at all, not even for myself, no help offered or anything and I was left to fend for myself in a stuck situation, we were left doing nothing for most of the holidays.

There were loads of activities for the kids to get involved in. The maintenance man, Alex I believe, was an absolute life saver when the electric hook up was too far away for our cable to reach. The toilets, showers and washing facilities were always clean and well maintained. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The weather sucked which meant loads of pitches were flooded out. There was little for the kids to do without having to pay for activities and the only play park was up beside the main centre.

Lovely clean site, close to the beach and a little town. Amenities on site were just as expected. Toilets and bathroom were very clean and looked like they had been newley refurbished. We had a dog with us so didn't go into the club house, but everywhere else on site was dog friendly apart from the restairant, Although you could order food to the covered outside area and into the arcade. Seems like there is plenty to do for families.

We paid for a pitch with electric, On arrival we were not given a pitch number and seen as though the camping area is not very big it was a bit of a free for all and people were pitched up everywhere, it took us about 20 minutes to find a space where we could reach the hookup. Also unfortunately due to the weather being bad the pitches were all waterlogged making it a very messy job putting the tent up and down but we had no choice but to pitch up in the puddles.

There was an indoor pool, which was average.
The toilet/ shower facilities are modern and in working order.

Upon arrival, we were told to ‘find a spot,’ which I found unhelpful as we had booked an electric pitch and there are limited electric pitches.
The ground/ grass pitches were covered in puddles after one day of rain due to poor drainage of land. The showers flooded when being used due to poor drainage system.

We booked 6 nights stay here but only stayed 3 nights due to flooding so was very annoyed/ disappointed we had to cut our holiday short without a refund/ compensation.

Won’t be going again and wouldn’t recommend if it is to rain!!!

Requires frequent cleaning as only saw 1 cleaner in 3 days overall not that bad

Waterlogged pitches due to heavy rain / poor drainage dog mess not picked up expense drinks/food on site also I feel as site is mainly static and lodges the touring side is slightly neglected
